Zach is a tail section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815. He is a young boy, who was traveling with his sister Emma to meet their mother in Los Angeles. Zach is one of only three children to have survived the crash of Oceanic Flight 815.

On the Island
Season 1 (Days 1-12)
Ana Lucia took it upon herself to become a maternal figure to both Zach and Emma. On the first day after the crash, Eko asked Cindy if she could look after Zach and Emma while he took the dead bodies out. Emma had a teddy bear with her on the plane that Zach held onto while Emma was hurt.
Zach and Emma are seen at Donald's funeral, both hugging Ana Lucia and looking sad. On Day 12, he and his sister were among the nine "tailies" kidnapped by a mission of the Others. ("The Other 48 Days")
Juliet assisted in caring for Zach and Emma, who continued to ask about their mother in Los Angeles weeks after the crash. Ben assured Juliet that they would stop asking in time. Juliet reminded Ben that Zach and Emma were children, to which Ben retorted that the two were on the list. ("The Other Woman")
Season 3 (Days 74-86)
While Jack was imprisoned in the cages, Zach, holding the teddy bear, approached him, along with his sister Emma and fellow crash survivor Cindy. After Jack yelled at Cindy, they turned to leave, and Zach gave Jack an angry look. ("Stranger in a Strange Land")
When Kate found Jack at the Barracks, Jack confirmed to Kate that they were safe. ("The Man from Tallahassee")
Zach was briefly glimpsed along with Cindy and his sister Emma after Ben shamed Locke due to his failure to kill his father. ("The Brig")
According to the official Oceanic 6 story Zach died when the plane hit the water along with his sister Emma. ("There's No Place Like Home, Part 1")
Season 5
Zach and Emma are presumably at the Temple with the second group of Others, according to Richard. ("Follow the Leader")
Trivia
- In "...And Found", Eko and Jin see some people, possibly Others, walk past them in the jungle. One of the group appears to be a child, and is dragging with him a teddy bear tied to some rope. The bear resembles Zach's, though Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse denied the similarity on the Official Lost podcast.[source needed]
