Hi, it isn't that the cause of death shouldn't be included, It is just that the infobox is not the right location for it. Most deceased characters have their cause of death, and when the died listed right in the opening paragraph. It is right there and easy enough for anyone to read. We also have it explained in more detail lower in the article. If a user is really interested how the character died it should not be too much work to scroll down. In response to why exactly we do not include it in the infobox, it does clutter it up a bit especially with characters where their deaths are not simple and it is not always easy to try and get the point across in that few words. We prefer it be accurately explained another place in the article instead. The infobox is just as it sounds, a box for info, it gives the facts, it doesn't describe them individually, that is what the article is for. It is so any body can simply look at the infobox and learn a bit about the character, the basics and if they want to expand that knowledge they can read more in the article. I agree with what you are trying to say, but we tend to try and be uniform here. If we do something to one article we try and do it to another. So adding it to only certain characters infoboxes in unnecessary. And the info field clearly says "Status" which either means alive or dead, it isn't necessary as I have said to include how they died in the infobox, that is what the rest of the article is for. -Mr.Leaf 16:48, 28 March 2007 (PDT)
