Hey there
Edit
Heh, I'm not even sure how I ended up here... lol. I was just looking around and saw messages to me. This is cool. I've never used wiki before, other than for research. Thanks for all the appreciation. I just got an offer from someone to do Korean translations for me, so I think hosting the transcripts on Lostpedia was a great idea. Thanks, Pan!
Internal Korean translations would definitely be cool. We were just discussing that in the forum. I know that Lost-Links had some folks helping to translate the untranslated Korean in the episodes before, but looks like they stopped updating after 2x13. --PandoraX 14:47, 9 September 2006 (PDT) PS, Spooky, if you want to sign notes, click the sig button at the top, or type ~~~.
Reverting
Edit
Also, a tip on reverting changes, you don't have to do this manually. If you see that the last reverts aren't what you like, go to the History tab, and click on the last version that you liked (date). Then click on the "Edit" tab from there, and it will remind/warn you that the version is not current. Without typing anything (except in the summary field a reason as to why you are reverting), click "Save Page" at the bottom. This should change it back.
On page protection, the official way is to go to Lostpedia: Requests for page protection. In this case, may be easier just to go to one sysop who already understands and is sensitive to the transcript problem, such as User:Nickb123 or User:GodEmperorOfHell directly. Unfortunately, there's no way I know of that protects it so that only certain (nonsysop) users can edit. If you need help, give me a holler. Thanks Spooky. --PandoraX 21:52, 11 October 2006 (PDT)
Thanks, Pan
Edit
I see you reverted the Pilot episode already. I really appreciate your help walking me through the in and outs of wiki since I'm a total newb. Thanks for the quick response and all the tips. --Spooky 02:14, 14 October 2006 (PDT)
Transcripts
Edit
Like I mentioned to PandoraX, all of my edits have just been small edits like adding the category. I have never edited the actual transcript since I understand the hard work you've put in to them. They have been quite helpful, thanks for all your hard work -- Paladine<c.t> 08:21, 14 October 2006 (PDT)
- Spooky did you see that Pan has done transcripts of things other than episodes too? -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯ Talk 03:44, 13 January 2007 (PST)
- Yeah, I left Spooky and the head mod at Lost-TV a msg, offering them the other transcripts (of featurettes, etc), if they are interested, since they are generous to us here at lostpedia... and they said thanks for the open exchange between the two communities. --PandoraX 20:12, 14 January 2007 (PST)
- I don't think I ever saw that one Pan (with the featurettes). We got E5&6 up, though. Thanks again. --Spooky 15:53, 17 January 2007 (PST)
Hi Spooky, thanks for all the work you've put in on the transcripts. I was just wondering if there were any plans to update the partial podcast transcripts in the near future? Thanks again! --library_grrl 21:53, 21 April 2008 (PDT)
Transcript Section Headers
Edit
Thanks for letting us use your transcripts! There's been some discussion on the style page about being able to link to specific parts of a transcript page. But to do that there'd have to be section headers. How would you feel about dividing or letting someone divide the transcripts into Acts and Scenes? --Jackdavinci 23:12, 20 December 2006 (PST)
Colons
Edit
- Sorry about that, Spooky. I saw the colons on the "new" transcripts (i.e. Stranger in a Strange Land, Flashes Before your Eyes, etc.) and thought that was how we were doing it from now on. I guess I never bothered to directly check the original transcripts to see the way that you did it. And BTW, I'm sorry for all the inconvenience that it caused you. And thanks for all the hard work that you do transcribing the episodes. Deep regards, Marik7772003 09:38, 26 February 2007 (PST)
Hy!
Edit
I just realized what Sawyer is talking in the police in the police station, "Hearts and Minds", but I don't know may I put that conversation in the transcript? User:Jakovexc0
Thank you
Edit
Thanks for putting up the transcript for "The Watch." You are a true credit to Lostpedia! -Milo Work Man 07:54, 7 November 2007 (PST)
I thought I heard whispers in 606-Sundown, opening scene, after Sayid's brother begins talking on his cell phone. I made a post about it over on Sledgeweb's Lost Stuff. http://lost.cubit.net/forum/index.php/topic,10497.0.html
I have a link to a stereo audio sample there. (I don't get the show in Dolby 5.1)
Thought you might be interested since you're into the whispers too. Ericd543 13:48, March 7, 2010 (UTC)
