Noob question
Hey Santa, I didn't seem to find where the incomplete or unexisting articles are. Is there a category for this? I've only seen renaming, deleting and merging. Hope you can help me.--Benthos 13:47, 22 February 2008 (PST)
- Thank you very much, this is exactly what I wanted to know. Now I can help even more.--User:Benthos/sig, 13 February 2008 (PST)
- Santa, I finished the portuguese voice actors page. Just one thing: those two you or someone else put (Gilberto Rocha Júnior and Lúcia Helena) are not on the pt.lostpedia list. I presumed they were just rumored voice actors, and so are not official voice actors. I'll just try to edit the Portal now. By the way, how can I unredirect? Because on the first time I edited the Portal:Voice Actors, I edited "No Voice Actor" of Eko to Guilherme Lopes and now all the articles named "No Voice Actor" redirect to Guilherme Lopes. Hope you understand what I'm saying. Bye. --Benthos 13:47, 22 February 2008 (PST)
Homes For Orphaned Pages
I've been on an orphan solution quest for a couple of days now, slowly but surely. Can you assist me by adding the Lost: Series One - Two - Three page to your DVDreleases template? I've already added that template to the page, but I can't add the page to the template. Thanks. P.S. Any job requests for the orphanage? Wikistoriographer
- I've got no problems with the pages I'm de-orphaning being marked for merge/deletion. I'm just working with the orphan list and not discriminating on their content (unless its glaringly obvious). Thanks for the rapid reply.
I'm also not sure if my method of fixing orphaned theories pages is what the ops want. I've taken to adding an unanswered questions template to the main article, but if there aren't any actual unanswered questions on the list, then this is taking up a fair amount of space. I've put theories orphans on hold for now. Wikistoriographer 12:30, 14 February 2008 (PST)

Payload unanswered questions
im kinda new to this so would you think that these would be good unanswered questions for that page
- Why would there only be a clock in the payload?
- Do the people on the frieghter suspect a time difference?
Thanks --ConnerXcountry57 20:31, 17 February 2008 (PST)
- I think the whole purpose of the experiment was to see if their was a time difference. A better question would be "Did the freighter people expect a time difference? And if so, why?" --Blueeagleislander 23:19, 17 February 2008 (PST)

I just wanted to let you know that I added a new template for video podcasts. It uses a different color and adds '(video)' automatically, I came up with it after I saw your edits to the Podcast page, that's all. --MacCutcheon – Talk? 16:34, 29 February 2008 (PST)
Tovard note in article
I think the note you added to Tovard Hanso is best left to the talk section. It's an argument and it's based on fan speculation, not on the best sources we have. If the name turns out to be inaccurate in the future, we can rename the article. Robert K S 13:49, 1 March 2008 (PST)
- Well, the question of whether "Tovard" is really the name and the question of whether the controversy belongs on the article page are two different questions. Even if there is a controversy, it probably belongs on the talk page until the issue is settled. (And until then, the article should choose one side and be consistent, even if it later turns out to be the "wrong" side.) That said--onto the other question--I really don't understand why there is a controversy. I've listened to that part of the episode over and over, and the auctioneer clearly pronounces it "Tovard"--there's simply no other possible interpretation. The "D" sound is there quite clearly. You can begin to argue that the actor was reading the script incorrectly, but that starts to stretch the evidence simply for some preferred correspondence with "Alvar"--"Tovar" and "Alvar", as if they were twins, or something. Secondly, for TV series that go by scripts, closed captioners usually work from the scripts or other provided reference materials to complete the captioning job. They don't typically just go by what they hear. A lot of evidence suggests this is the case with Lost--the high number of technical terms on the show, the fact that some inaudible dialogue made it into the captions (remember "Galaga"?). Robert K S 17:46, 1 March 2008 (PST)
Kimber Andrews / Alissa Jean Scott
Hi, do you remember the discussion about the fan-speculated who-plays-who in Exposé (TV series)? See Talk:Kimber Andrews. I took the liberty to remove all hard statements about who-plays-who. So the pages for Crystal and Autumn now state that it's unknown who plays them. On the Expose main page I updated the text concerning the cast. So I suggest that the Kimber Andrews and Alissa Jean Scott pages be removed, since the info listed there is almost equal to the info on the Crystal and Autumn pages. --DJVok 06:49, 4 March 2008 (PST)

4x07 Korean Transcripts
I completed writing Korean transcripts of 4x07 with Kckern. I have 3 questions; 1. Could I change the form of Korean lines? Now they are written in darkblue below the English subtitles lines, but I found that other languages are first written and [in 'other langauge': 'meaning'] are written, in 3x11 transcripts. Hm... and 2. it is different between when the subtitles are on and off, right? Finally, 3. there were some Korean lines that don't match with English subtitles. How could I write them? Although most of them are not that significant. Thanks in advance! --Foxysmile 06:03, 18 March 2008 (PDT)

Bob Dylan
The song "Subterranean Homesick Blues" by Bob Dylan is on the list on the Music article (Referenced songs and musicians).
The context is; The video that Juliet plays for Jack on the Hydra television, in which she holds up cue cards, is reminiscent of Bob Dylan's video for "Subterranean Homesick Blues".
Do you think this is to speculative or should it be in the article? This is the last song on the list that don't have an article yet. Thought I discuss this before I create that article. / Dreamingtree72 06:13, 16 April 2008 (PDT)
- The user Dagg made this notation to the Music article; This reference was confirmed in the 11/06/06 podcast. So I guess it's not speculative anymore... ;-) / Dreamingtree72 00:19, 17 April 2008 (PDT)

Bewildering grammar
In the last news item you write: "The proprietor of DarkUFO says he received the information from a source claiming to call himself Lostfan108." Now, English isn't my first language but it's pretty evident that you either call yourself something or you claim to be something. You can divide it into two phrases if you want, like "a source who claims to be a lost fan and calls himself Lostfan108" , but it all depends on what you want to say. As it is now the sentence isn't that great.--Ashrawi 03:10, 21 May 2008 (PDT)
News
I know you usually do the news articles on the main page and blog and wondered if you heard about Jack Bender's new project. ABC has him directing the pilot of a new show called "The Prince of Motor City". It's not filming in HI, and I haven't seen anything about how this may affect his role with Lost, but I wanted to pass on the article. [1] --Gluphokquen Gunih ▲ 17:16, 23 May 2008 (PDT)
Background Others
Hi Santa. I noticed the images you uploaded on the Background Cast article, and I have a question. Are the background Others seen in "Room 23" on the article? I was just wondering since this is a mobisode and not an actual episode. It is canon though, so it should be listed. Thanks. --CTS 16:02, 28 May 2008 (PDT)
Blog
You're responsible for the blog, right? Would I be able to write a short article on the interviews that have recently been conducted by the site - we have Raj K. Bose, Kelly Rice, Jean Chung, Mark Stitham, and now, Jamie Silberhartz; also, I'm awaiting a response from David Fury - or do you have to write the article yourself? Thanks,-- Lost Soul talk contribs 00:23, 29 May 2008 (PDT)
- Well, mainly, it's been Mr. Leaf (he was responsible for the first four interviews; myself, the last two), but he doesn't come on here very often, because of lack of time. We've been corresponding over email, mostly. I've written an article, though, so if you want me to send it to you, for posting, I can do.-- Lost Soul talk contribs 01:35, 29 May 2008 (PDT)

New page
I was thinking that a page should be made for the casualties of Flight 815 (the blonde, red-haired, female tailie and the 3 who died on the Kahana). It'd have a short article on each of the casualty so it'd make most people happy who want a article for these people and for those who don't want them. I'm pretty bad at editing tables and anything more than basic text, but i worked my way through it with the preview buttom. but i couldn't figure out how to put the blu ray logo on the other side of the text, so i left it out for now. Also, there are dvd sets for season 1 part 1 part2, as well as season 3, part 2. They don't have articles, so i left them off the template until we get articles for them. Trivia
- Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but in the trivia article it mentioned your name a few times. I was thinking that maybe it would be fun if lostpedia hosted a m00t trivia. Basically what it is, is there is a host who is able to mute people, or moot people so they cannot speak anymore. What would happen is, the host would ask a question, the person that gets it right first can choose a person or sometimes, persons to get mooted. Those people are muted and cannot speak until the host will unmute them. So eventually the pool of people will get very, very small and the person left standing is the winner. The host can also throw in some fun stuff such as:
-the 5 people below the person that gets it right on the chat list are muted
-the 5 people above the person that gets it right on the chat list are muted
-the 4th person to get it right chooses who to get muted
-the person that gets it right can give immunitity to any person they want except themselves
And those are just some of the things that could happen. I was just wondering if the chat would be able to do those type of functions. I think it would be very interesting and if we put a bulletin up on the main page about it, it could become a very popular thing. Thank you, and sorry if this is the wrong place...--Jinx 10:42, 17 June 2008 (PDT)

Problems at the "List of Oceanic Flight 815 survivors" page
There is a group of people who keep editing the page to make characters of "unknown" status be listed as "alive." The are arguing that any character which we don't KNOW FOR SURE to be dead, should be listed as alive. They also have it in their head that Steve (the actor who plays him anyway) is still on the show. They are trying to "vote" to force us to list all characters of "unknown" status as alive. Please take care of this. I am tired of reediting the page every time they change it. --Castaway815 14:12, 17 June 2008 (PDT)
- I added a straw poll to the talk page to find general consensus. -- CTS Talk Contribs 20:37, 17 June 2008 (PDT)
- I am pretty sure you've said elsewhere that polls are not necessary if they are conducted for the purposes of ignoring or overturning the established standards of the website. This appears to be what is happening in this case, as the pollster in question would like to eliminate the status "Unknown," and relabel all characters with this classification as "Alive." --Castaway815 21:24, 17 June 2008 (PDT)

You seem to be the go-to admin as you are the most recent editor. Okay, here's my question. I think the interview pages themselves are a little sparse, and not as vibrant and attractive as they could be. Could I add several images of the interviewee to these pages on the right margin? Survivors Nav Template

Minor battles
The following battles were listed under the category minor battles: "Ethan battle" (Homecoming), "Michael battle (Three Minutes), "Jungle battle" (Live together, die alone), "Hydra Island battle" (Not in Portland). Two of these battles are redundant with fights and attacks: "Ethan battle" and "Michael battle". Both of these battles take place with indivisuals, not with groups. The Ethan battle was Ethan vs the survivors. The Michael battle was Michael vs the Others. The Jungle battle was a battle between two groups: The survivors and the Others. The Hydra Island battle was between two groups as well: The survivors and the Others. Since the hydra island battle and the jungle battle took place between groups, they should be classified as 'minor battles', but the Michael and Ethan battles were redundant with fights and attacks. -- CTS Talk Contribs 11:23, 23 June 2008 (PDT)

Hm...perhaps an addition to the main page?
I've been thinking about the interviews. It may just be me, but for a main page visitor, it may be difficult to find (or even know about) the interviews that Lostpedia has been conducting. The only indication of the interviews is the Rebecca Mader entry in the News section, and a tiny link to the portal, which is one of many. Do you think, perhaps, that there could be a section on the main page, very small, that tells of the most recent interview as well as a link to Portal:Interviews? It may help get exposure to these interviews that Mr. Leaf, Lost Soul, and I have worked to secure. What do you think about this idea, and if you don't agree, do you see any possible alternatives? Polarbear's script function
Hey, I'm looking into a proposal on Lostpedia:Ideas about having a daily/weekly quote box on the Main Page, possibly to go under the Today in Lost History template to balance out the left and right columns. It'd be pretty easy enough to do, using basically the Lost History coding and putting in all the quotes in advance. So really I just need 365 or 52 quotes from Lost, TLE, Official Podcast, Via Domus, etc. I know Polarbear could generate random quotes, but did you create a list at all for it? Or is a random generator using the Lostpedia transcripts? Cheers, --Nickb123 (Talk) 08:32, 30 June 2008 (PDT)
One more thing: A page move
Could you please move Languages to Character languages? The creator made a mistake when creating the page (as stated on the talk page), and I, the only other contributor to the page, agree that it should be renamed. Thanks. -- Sam McPherson T C E 16:50, 30 June 2008 (PDT)
- I created it but made a mistake so could you move it withount a rename voting because Languages should be a disambiguation page to this page and Lostpedia:Languages.-- Orhan94 Talk Contribs 07:14, 1 July 2008 (PDT)

Canon?
I recently did an interview with Faith Fay, or SBSSG. In the interview, she shared with me a backstory which she had created for her character before leaving the show. She had shared it with people such as Terry O'Quinn, and sent a copy of it to the writers. It is very detailed, but does not clash with anything previously done, and is quite contained about the character and explains her disappearance. Could this possibly be added to the article as part of her biography (since it is endorsed by the actress), or would it be considered non-canon? I think it should be considered canon because SBSSG is such a little-known character with such a large fanbase, it would not hurt to add in this storyline. However, I can think of possible implications, so I felt I should ask an admin first. Nick pointed me to you. What do you think? -- Sam McPherson T C E 13:21, 5 July 2008 (PDT)

Blonde Casualty
A question was raised about Blonde Casualty's page, is it possible to redo her deletion? Rather than rewriting everything?--Mistertrouble189 20:34, 7 July 2008 (PDT)
Banned?!?!
Why exactly was User:LostCloverfield42 banned? There was NO warning that users would be banned if they created and article that was in agrement for re-creation. It absurd that LostCloverfield42 was banned when we were in agreement of the recreation!. It was 3 days after the agreement the article was created! SO WHY WAS HE BANNED!?!?!? -- Fraiders09 T C 16:53, 8 July 2008 (PDT)
- They way he understands it is that he thought the article had come to a close and that it was ok to re-create the aritle. There had been no opposition for over a day an a half so he created the article. Is there anyway his ban can be removed? I think it was just a big misunderstanding on his part. He says he would be very appreciative if his ban was lifted. Thank you for you time. -- Fraiders09 T C 18:28, 8 July 2008 (PDT)

What's that all about?! --Nickb123 (Talk) 08:16, 10 July 2008 (PDT)
- Hey can you further expand on your discussion proposal over at Jack Shephard? Its just the discussion template has been there a while now, and I'm looking to close it. Thanks, --Nickb123 (Talk) 07:34, 12 July 2008 (PDT)
- Dude, I know this is really irreverant and inappropriate for LP, but I really wanna add this to the Apophenia article lol, [2]. --Nickb123 (Talk) 11:45, 18 July 2008 (PDT)
- Hey, could you add an opinion at Talk:The Others. I rewrote the page and I'd like opinion of if its an improvement (I removed quite a lot from the original content and condensed considerably). --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:13, 20 July 2008 (PDT)

Korean Dubbing
Hi. Are you responsible for the Voice actors page? According to this page, in Korea lost is broadcast with subtitles... But simply that's not true. You need any help with Korean voice actors info? --Solen 02:30, 30 July 2008 (PDT)
- Absolutely! I've just logged on the website of the broadcasting station (KBS). But the administrators didn't inform anything about dubbing artists. I've found out some voice actors who recorded the parts of main characters somehow, though. So, I mailed the broacasting station to inform the whole voice actors' name. I'll let you know as soon as I receive the reply! Everything I know for now:
Jack Shephard 役: 홍시호
Kate Austen 役: 이선
Sayid Jarrah 役: 양석정
Claire Littleton 役: 이현주
Hugo "Hurley" Reyes 役: 원호섭
Shannon Rutherford 役: 문선희
James "Sawyer" Ford 役: 성완경 → 류다문현
Charlie Pace 役: 윤세웅
John Locke 役: 박상일
Michael Dawson 役: 김준
Boone Carlyle 役: 정훈석
Rose Nadler 役: 성선녀
Sun-Hwa Kwon 役: 이주연
Jin-Soo Kwon 役: 이규석
Some voice actors have been changed through the telecast owing to unavoidable circumstances. Just like Sawyer's part. And Sun and Jin have voice actors, too. Because they sometimes speak English. I'll write again how to get the picture or movie of them soon, Bye! --Solen 16:47, 30 July 2008 (PDT)
Archiving
When is it appropriate to archive a talk page and is it ever appropriate to only archive a section of the talk page? See Talk:Pregnancies for an example. Thanks! --MetallichickX 09:05, 2 August 2008 (PDT)

Last time I created the redirects to redshirt, you deleted them. I only made the names of the deleted casualties a redirect becuase they kept appearing in the Wanted pages article and I just wanted to remove the red links on few user's talk pages. I just want to ask you, do you let recreate them as redirects to a different article (redshirts, background cast, Blonde casualty or possibly a different one)?-- Orhan94 Talk Contribs 00:56, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
Ariston confirms your rightness
I was wrong--that is Ariston Green, but not Jason, says Ari himself in the most recent interview I've recieved. It'll be posted 10/12 in full. Well done. -- Sam McPherson T C E 17:53, 2 September 2008 (PDT)

Telephones
Thanks, Santa. It's one of my favorite articles that I've done. I'm trying to make it not as list-y, though. But thanks again for your compliment. -- Sam McPherson T C E 15:15, 2 October 2008 (PDT)
RE: Magazine
Hey, thanks! I'm trying to get more info on the magazines that I don't have. I've been creating pages for the magazines that I do have. I've also been looking for more pics of the various articles in the magazines. Thanks again! -- CTS Talk Contribs 11:18, 12 October 2008 (PDT)
The Redirects
Some of these redirects do exist on some articles and user pages where they appear as red links, therefore they appear as wanted articles on Job list/wanted articles. At first I only made redirects for the ones that I found there, but I got tired of always searching through the wanted articles' list, because it contains over 3000 names a.k.a wanted articles. So i decided to make all the possible redirects to the episodes (formats such as, "Season X, Episode Y", "Episode Y, Season X", "Season X Episode Y", "Episode Y Season X" etc.) to avoid future red links and overflooding the Wanted articles page. That's why I made the links such as LOCKE, because they also appeared on that list. -- Orhan94 Talk Contribs 04:05, 26 October 2008 (PDT)

Magazine templates
Hey Santa. I finished creating the rest of the magazine articles and created templates for each of them {{mag|ix01}}, {{mag|ix02}}, etc. I created the templates under Template:Mag and Template:Mag/doc. Can you protect these templates since the episode templates and Via Domus templates are protected as well? Thanks. -- CTS Talk Contribs 20:18, 29 October 2008 (PDT)
