Design

Which Wikia. It depends on what you want... You could just rip our CSS out and place it into yours, then changing things like the colours and the pictures, if you wanted. Mediawiki:monaco.css is where our CSS lives. Plkrtn 13:59, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Images

Where is the source that you get the images you upload to the site from? This is just for my own curiosity as they seem a lot more colourful and crisper than most of the pictures that are uploaded?

Creating articles for future episodes (except the next episode to air) is a violation of spoiler policy. Lostpedia:Spoiler_Policy#Immediately_upcoming_episode_names. Pics

Hey Obi, apologies we haven't been able to chat. I assume the issue has been resolved now anyway? A quick thing - I've seen you've been replacing a lot of high quality pics with lower quality ones on episode articles, etc. Seems like you're just thinking "this pic looks better", but when you're replacing them, it's making them of lesser quality. So I don't wanna say "don't change pics" cause sometimes there are lame ones and you want better ones - but just be aware that better quality is better. Hey there,

You've been replacing images on that episode without any real justification. That led to some sort of image dispute which had been resolved on the talk page of that article through user consensus. Duplicate Images

Lapidus

I noticed you keep switching images on Frank Lapidus page you have to remeber that images need to be under the correct categories so a pic of Frank discovering his co-pilot is dead belongs under the "back on the island" category not "After the Island" since that image did take place on island. --Czygan84 15:44, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Image Changes

I recently noticed several image changes to main picutres of several season 4 episodes. I wanted to let you know that your opinion alone doesnt give you the right to change them. When an image has been established for over a year if you want to change it you must mark it for disscusion and if people agree with you then you can change it but you cant just go through changing images that have been established for over a year. Not only that but next to every image you changed was a not saying not to change it. So i have reverted your edits and if you still want them changed then mark the episodes for image disscusion.  B1G CZYGS  Talk  Contribs  22:58, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

You've also done this with the Richard Alpert page. Replacing images from season 3 with ones you like doesn't mean everyone agrees. In fact you replaced all the images in season 3 to your liking. I reverted the changes. If you feel your choices are better, argue so on the talk page before making changes. Also on the season 5 section you replaced the promotional image shot of Richard on his knees in front of Daniel to a screencap that shows him with Ellie with no emotional impact or anything of the sort. Just because something is newer doesn't mean it should overwrite an older image showing the same thing. --     [Talk & Contribs] 04:06, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Duplicate images

Hey there. If you're going to upload images that are duplicates of ones already uploaded, could you go to the existing image page and click on "Upload a new version of this file" instead of just uploading it separately? The Incident

Hi. Please don't move the images in the Flashbacks section of "The Incident, Parts 1 & 2". I know the code looks odd with them appearing in the wrong section, but it causes issues with the alignment of the subsection titles when you put them in the same section. Also please don't readd the brclears to the article. They were removed to fix complains of spacing issues brought up on the talk page (moving the images was done to accommodate the removal of the brclears). The original picture was a million times better than the one you changed it to. • No you didnt prove anything its a PROMOTIONAL PIRCTURE from 5x15 that means it is usually off scene look it up online. • Your in the wrong here weve been using that group of promotional pictures for 5x15 since it was first shown [[1]] so obviously a good number of users believe these ar promotional shots from 5x15 so this is it Ive given you ample opportunity to stop making these edits but obviously when it comes to images you make decisions on your own without disscusing them. From the above comments youve shown no respect to other users and make changes based on your own personal feelings. I dont want to edit war with you and this disccusion has gone nowhere as you refuse to admit your wrong. If you disagree then you can discuss it on the season 5 page as the picture i am reverting was the original and you are trying to make the change. For future refrence when you want to change an image you discuss it first and then make the change. • Hey just wanted to thank you for your nice comment on the season 5 talk page. Those pages are for disscusion so you state your opinion and then ILL state mine you dont need to state yours and then meanwhile tell other users my opinion while not only misrepresenting me but making my argument sound horribleand just bash me, I mean how is the fact that you belive i dont know what a promo picture is relevant to the argument. You state your opinion then ill state mine if you state both sides of the argument then obviously the disscusion is biased. I think you need to have a look at the guidelines page as to how exactly this wiki works because you have been a horrible user to work with throughout this whole process. And as i like to give users the benefit of doubt it has been hard not to report you for the way you handle your edits on the wiki. • Its alright my biggest thing with this whole argument was not just me comming at you but more of a long standing issue with tons of users on the wiki who change major images/pages without a disscusion, and trust me in the past I have come off in disscusions as a HUGE A-whole at time so i understand completely its all frustration about two opposing arguments. Images again

Discuss image changes i know ive told you before but youve changed just about half of every episodes main image. A lot of the changes are good but a few are well not just drop a line on the talk pg get some opinions on these changes. I know you know the policy because weve been thorught this before but If i gotta tell you again im gonna report it. Just discuss it. • Two things, one i didnt point these changes out for no reason i mentioned that a few of the changes were not good. Secondly you said no one has complained or mentioned these changes well here ya go im mentioning and complaining about them. As far as which changes well i reverted the ones i felt were "wrong". Lastly this isnt just about the changes youre making now just look at your talk page youve been warned several times about the rules of images and changing them. Yet again you are disregarding the rules, you do not have to discuss every little change you make regarding an image but when you changing the main picture of an episode (some that have been up for years with "no complaints") then yeah you do need to discuss it. • All i want is user input i may even be wrong. By the way if you want to get technical with your whole you only edited the images during the rewatch.
