Thank you SO much for the explaination!! I got it figured out now. I was feeling like a real douche that I couldn't figure this out when it seemed so simple. I know I am a mostly self-taught wiki rookie, but it usually doesn't take me that long. I really appreciate your help. NEVERGIVEUP Contribs Talk 19:48, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Nicknames
Edit
Hey I noticed your contributions to the nicknames article. I've been attempting to refurbish the article by adding crossrefs to all of the nicknames, but there are some nicknames (in particular, ones given by Sawyer) that I can't seem to find. El Docko (Jack), Sabu (Hurley), Gumby (Hurley), and Madame Butterfly (Sun) are some of the nicknames I can't find episode references for. If you happen to know the episodes that these nicknames were in that would be awesome! -- CTS Talk Contribs 15:21, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

New Spoiler Policy
Edit
I have created a new spolier/promotional material policy that I feel correctly addreses the issues at hand: titles, ignored discussions, and the fact that our motivation is contradictory to our policy. The policy is in two parts. The first part deals with spoilers and can be found here. The second part deals with promotional material and may be found here. I would like you to weigh in so improvements may be made before I submit it to be an official policy. Thanks! cgmv123TalkContribsE-mail 17:05, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Re:Template Image
Edit
Hey, yes, unfortunately i would like to spend more time on LP but life just doesn't allow it atm. I see the problem, however my wiki coding skills are a little rusty. From my initial look, it appears that the problem you suggested is not a problem at all, it appears more neglect is an issue. The template is set to automatically add an image to Category:Improper Category if the term added in the tag does not correspond to any of the terms in the list on the code page you mentioned. However the template seems to be working around itself on this one if the category assigned with the tag is not properly written and may try to add it to a category such as flashback images images (instead of just once) which does not exist causing a loop that will in the end provide an improper category such as those you've mentioned. If your (more up to date) wiki skills can see something i haven't or a piece of code you believe is causing the problem please let me know or fix it. I will take a quick look and see if I can't figure out the specific problem and at least not fix some of the problems. Mr.Leaf 21:20, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
- It seems that redirects do indeed mess up the template, as it believes those categories exist. Technically they are are unneeded if the template is doing its job and redirecting instead. Deleting these redirects does indeed fix the problem, as i did with Category:Images of the fb , if you click on the individual images it says they are in the correct category now Category:Flashback Images, however the former category has not yet updated, hopefully the wiki will do that in time. As for your suggestion, your more than welcome to remove that chunk of code if you feel the pros would outweigh the cons, i haven't been around enough lately to make a good judgement, both pages are unlocked and available to be edited at your discretion. Although an afterthought, removing that code may require the list of tags to be adjusted to include the entire category name by included in the "master tag". For example the tag Hurley ultimately links to Images of Hugo "Hurley" Reyes however in the template the master tag is just Hugo "Hurley" Reyes so removing the chunk of code that automatically adds the "Images of" as you are suggesting would require you to go through and edit each master tag. If you have any questions let me know, i don't know how much help i will be but i will try. Mr.Leaf 21:56, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Jacob's Cabin
Edit
Well, honestly, I was a bit surprised when I found a blurb on the Hydra page about the cabin appearing on the surveillance monitors (from ep3x09 apparently) and added it to the cabin page so's to be thorough. Given the reference wasn't clear to me that it was somewhat's speculation. Did you check the ep? I admittedly did not, but prolly best to check the referenced source before pulling it, what? :-) Spiral77 21:40, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Cool -- thanks for checking there...! I went and doublechecked the HD screen captures from The Flame's monitors in "Namaste" -- listed a bunch of locations DHARMA was monitoring and there's no mention of a cabin. Sounds like speculation to me. Spiral77 22:23, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
RE:Template:Ep and finales
Edit
I know where your coming from, but although it will take a lot of work and editing, it's still something that will make the wiki better once it's done. I've recently been changing some main character and episode articles to change the template:ep and crossref links for the finales, but this is something that will take the combined efforts of all users (I've listed this as a major project at Lostpedia:Projects). I'd definitely appreciate your help with this as well. Although it seems like a daunting task, it really isn't that huge of an undertaking. I'm sure within the next few months the majority of template:ep and crossref templates on major articles should be fized, as well as those on other articles. Whenever I have the time I will try to fix as many of the links to 'parts' of the finales that should be linking to the whole episode or vice versa. Thanks for your help, -- CTS Talk Contribs 05:22, February 27, 2010 (UTC)
