Any comments on the spoiler policy, and the promotional material policy should go here. Thanks!
Hi, welcome to Lostpedia! Thanks for your edit to the User blog:Cgmv123 page.

Easy mistake to make, but it's a pain to patrol unsigned messages and sign them for editors who forget. Thanks. Robert K S tell me 20:00, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Userboxes
I saw you left a message on Robert K S's talk page about userboxes, so I thought I'd help you out. If you want to put a box saying you're from the States, just type {{USA}} into your userpage. If you want put one which tells people how may edits you've made, just type {{editcount}} into your userpage again. Hope this helps. :)-- Steele talk contribs 21:25, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- Good hints--thanks, Steelekid. Cgmv123, please make sure you sign all your talk messages. As for protecting your signature and user page, only an administrator can lock content, and user pages and signatures are not locked. I can't think of a reason to lock them. Even if another user were to vandalize your user page or signature, I would just revert the vandalism and then ban the vandal. It's not an efficient use of administrator resources to go around locking and unlocking user pages upon request. Cheers, Robert K S tell me 23:16, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
S6 UQs
Since we expect all valid UQs to be answered in the final season, what you're referring to is a cleaned-up and completed version of Unanswered questions. Robert K S tell me 03:22, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
RE:Bot
I tihnk that's a great idea, but you would have to contact the Wikia staff and/or Admin so it would be created properly. Thanks -- CTS Talk Contribs 16:35, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- Try Jabber or Plktrn, they're usually the most involved with technical stuff/programming out of the sysops. --Blueeagleislander 12:44, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Re: Next time on Lost
I don't see what you're talking about. It looks fine to me. Is it still messing up for you? -- Sam McPherson T C E 18:02, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- I see the tags now. I'm bringing it up with my fellow administrators now, because I can't find the source of it. -- Sam McPherson T C E 22:30, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- I managed to fix it. Thanks for alerting me to it! -- Sam McPherson T C E 22:35, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Enhanced episode screencap keywords
Hey, I noticed that you changed all or many of the Enhanced episode captions' keywords from the Enhanced episode to the regular episode. Can you help me out and tell me your thinking there? Robert K S tell me 14:55, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
spoiler policy
i think that the promotional material policy is good and if there is a debate on whether to implement it I would vote in favour of implementing it as an official policy as I personally don't mind promo pics and press releases used next year. -- Orhan94 Talk Contribs 21:24, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Don't worry
This isn't the first time he emptied my page. Back in the winter he did it few times, though I e-mailed Admin and he took care of him. Just keep on reverting stuff he does, I'll contact few of the SysOps ASAP and they'll ban him. Thanks for notifying me though. -- Orhan94 Talk Contribs 21:30, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
RE:New Spoiler Policy
At first glance, it looks pretty good. Just for more clarification, I would add that Comic-Con released material and information is not considered a spoiler. Overall though, well done. I'll have to review it in more detail when I have more time. -- CTS Talk Contribs 04:02, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Re: new spoiler policy
You have my full support with the way you've set up these two policies. I dunno whether or not you've seen my version of what I feel the spoiler policy should be (located here). I notice a lot of the things I had on there, you've added to yours, which is nice, great minds think alike and all that. The only thing I would caution you on is that you're gonna get a lot of people complaining that "promotional material" counts as spoilers and... well, it's late and I'm tired so I'm just going to pull a quote from the talk page on my version: "The motivation section seems to say that non-spoilers are spoilers, which is confusing." (in reference to my distinction between spoilers and promotional material). Possibly making this absolutely crystal clear in each policy would be a good thing to add. Other than that, I'm glad to see that someone is finally willing to do something about these problems. :) Jimbo the Tubby talk contributions 07:51, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, I have started a discussion on the discussion tab of your spoiler policy page. I look forward to hearing more about your points and possibly working towards a good change in policy. Best wishes, --Nickb123 (Talk) 17:00, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Re: SysOps
I don't really know what to tell you. As someone who has had issues getting people to listen to me when it comes to the numerous problems with the current spoiler policy, I've never really found a way to get the SysOps to participate in the discussion. When I have some more time (probably this weekend) I'll post a detailed message on your policies' talk pages as to what's wrong with the current policy, but beyond that I'm not sure what suggestions I could make to get their attention. Sorry. If you need any help with anything for your spoiler policy, please don't hesitate to ask. :) Jimbo the Tubby talk contributions 18:59, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Character categories
Thanks a lot for jumping on board with the new characters by season categories. I just wanted tot ask if you could put these right after the "Characters" category in the listing instead of at the end. Just to be consistent. Thanks again for the help! --Pyramidhead 22:19, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Try refreshing or clearing your cache. They're showing up for me, and I'd prefer they go at the top of the list instead of after Fathers, Murderers, etc. Thanks --Pyramidhead 22:25, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm aware that it doesn't "matter" where in the list a category goes - but I just think it would make more sense, and be more consistent, to keep the season categories right after "Characters" instead of stuck on the end after, in some cases, dozens of "So-and-so's flashback characters" entries. --Pyramidhead 22:34, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Dearest Sam McPherson,
One of the more recent messages on the discussion board has announced a Portuguese fan fic contest of sorts for Season 6 hiatus. Unfortunately I and a few other Lostpedia users are not Portuguese nor do we speak the language. And though I would love to learn this lovely language (and it is quite lovely) by the time I mastered it Season 6 would be over and we would be half way through the reality spin off series Jack and Locke plus 8 (I know Kate would have been the obvious choice but I would much rather watch this show). But I digress, I think it would be great if Lostpedia-America had its own fan fic contest. Hec if the Portuguese can do it why not us. Of course this is up to you Oh great and powerful Administrator. There would be rules of course, such as
No Explicit material (As much as I would like to see the Smoke monster and the Polar Bear get it on it is just not the right time.)
The scripts will follow the same story line (Wouldn't want to see Jack die and then come back to life and then die again, there is already enough of that in the show.)
The scripts will also follow the season 6 rules which means no time travel or flash backs/forwards (This is up to you, I personally think it is better this way but you might enjoy the occasional flash back)
- this also means that the story line of the previous winning script must be followed in the next one.
Lastly, it would be good if we also added the runner ups so people can see some great scripts that just didn't make it.
I don't know if you have already seen this idea or not, I wouldn't be surprised if some one already proposed it. But still keep this into consideration. You can change the rules if you want to they were just a suggestion.
E-mail me back if you like/hate the idea, even if it is just to tell me you would rather shoot yourself than go along with it.
Yours truly, Michael Bardon BenKilledDharma mrb0605@gmail.com
Talk:Portal:Main Characters archive
Hey. I was looking over the history for Talk:Portal:Main Characters and I noticed it was missing a lot of the old discussions. I checked the history and it looks like you deleted it all with an edit summary saying you were archiving it. However, you didn't leave a link to the archive on the new talk page. I was hoping I could bother you to go and add it, since I don't know where it was archived to. Thanks. :) Jimbo the Tubby talk contributions 23:59, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Re: Season 6 title
Your points are correct, but the current consensus is we're not allowing it until the ABC Medianet release, which we think will be a few months beforehand. I havn't looked at your SP proposal, but I will when I get the chance. --Blueeagleislander 07:06, September 9, 2009 (UTC)
- There's no real way to make it an "official proposal". I'll post a link in the sysop forums, get some discussion happening, and then we'll probably decide to get some major user awareness of the proposal, increasing the amount of discussion. From there, we'll look at if there's a consensus for change. --Blueeagleislander 02:53, September 22, 2009 (UTC)
Re:Hulu
Hmmm...I'd still hold off on saying January is "official", I don't think it will be long now til we get a ABC source that has it. Btw, I'm just about to look at your SP proposal. --Blueeagleislander 02:19, September 22, 2009 (UTC)
