Pillar Of Smoke

Hi there, I was just wondering why you added the underconstruction header to Cliffhanger? --Blueeagleislander 23:08, 17 February 2008 (PST)

Major battles

I read your sector of the above page "The Survivors vs. The Freighter people". I am thinking of removing this, as it is a theory. You should remove it and place it on a theory page, as it dosent belong on a article, as it has yet to happen. Unless you can word it so it is less of a theory and more of a statment of facts, it will be gone by the end of the week. --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 19:59, 5 March 2008 (PST)

  • P.S. Soory about the unsigned comment. Now, to business. The Battles page is barely accessed, thefore we should merge it into a page like Rivalries. People use that page, and it could fit quite niceley into the content. We will let the fellow lostpedians decide on this. --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 19:59, 5 March 2008 (PST)
  • Instead of merging, we should create more links on other articles that lead to Major battles. This will make that page more accessable to Lostpedians. --CTS 20:01, 5 March 2008 (PST)
It's me again. I have been watching the page for quite some time, as it is a good idea for a page -but it needs a lot of work. And I will replace the images tag, as 3 images at the bottom of the page arent what images are all about. There are supposed to be many of them, dispersed throughout the page. Hope we can resolve this. --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 18:42, 13 May 2008 (PDT)

If you have images, add them!!! --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 18:49, 13 May 2008 (PDT)

  • You don't know how to add images? Are we talking about putting them into the wiki (i would direct you to the editing guide for that) or getting screenshots?
    • I see you have started adding images. Not much, but it's a start! Happy editing! Cheers, --Rhcm123|talk|contributions 19:11, 13 May 2008 (PDT)

Love the page

  • I saw your page and realized I have to say something, it's amazing. Love the DHARMA logos on top and the season promos on the side. It just so happens I've been watching both the pages you've created, I love them. I support not merging the Major battles article also. Keep up the great work. BETTYFIZZW (Talk) 09:01, 6 March 2008 (PST)

BDM (via domus)

I added the cleanup tag because it is not properly formatted to the Lostpedia-esque style. (e.g. heading types) --Blueeagleislander 00:44, 11 March 2008 (PDT)

I'm happy to do it but I don't understand why you can't do it yourself. Are you blocked from creating new articles? Just click on webisode, click on create this page, and enter the text #REDIRECT [[Missing Pieces]]. Robert K S (talk) 15:20, 29 March 2008 (PDT)

Teach a man to fish... Robert K S (talk) 15:24, 29 March 2008 (PDT)
Unforunately what you've got now is a double redirect, which isn't helpful. Edit Webisode to redirect to Lost: Missing Pieces, not just Missing Pieces, which is itself a redirect. Robert K S (talk) 15:25, 29 March 2008 (PDT)
No it doesn't. Just click on webisode to see what I mean. You don't get to the article, you get an indicator that there's a double redirect. Robert K S (talk) 15:30, 29 March 2008 (PDT)
You just get back to Webisode by clicking on the link that says Webisode on the redirect page. Robert K S (talk) 15:33, 29 March 2008 (PDT)

Revert rule!

CTS, don't get temp banned by falling on your sword over a banner on the article. If that happens, you won't be able to contribute to the discussion, and that would be a shame :) -- LOSTonthisdarnisland 20:05, 1 April 2008 (PDT)

I don't have the specific rule handy, and I'm eating (LOL), but basically putting something back on an article (or removing it) repeatedly is a no-no. I suggest that you ignore the banner for now, keep adding discussion to the article talk page, helping out there, and you should stay out of trouble. :) (I'm not a SysOp; I'm just trying to point this out before one yells at you)-- LOSTonthisdarnisland 20:17, 1 April 2008 (PDT)
Policies regarding edit wars/revert wars can be found on general usage guide. Lostpedia doesn't have anything hard and fast like Wikipedia's 3RR (three-revert rule). I would interpret this to mean that if you're new to Lostpedia and have never been warned, you might get away with an edit war without being banned, but if you've been around awhile and ought to know better, even a single bad-faith revert might be cause for a temporary block from editing. Robert K S (talk) 18:31, 2 April 2008 (PDT)

and thanks :) I'm not going to comment on it anymore. We are working on plot twist talk page, if you'd like to join us there. :) -- LOSTonthisdarnisland 19:48, 2 April 2008 (PDT)

"bias" ban

Please don't comment about sysops like that, its against the rules, and things like that will see bans in place. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  09:53, 6 April 2008 (PDT)

I didn't suggest that you did mention any particular SysOp, but please do not disparage other users, regardless of their status. All things on the site are done in good faith, regardless of any misunderstanding  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  10:42, 6 April 2008 (PDT)

Re: "Born to Run" and "One of Us"

Well... I guess we have different opinion about this... hope that's allowed! ;-) We'll see if someone else have an opinion and votes or writes something on the talk pages of the articles. If I don't get anyone else agreeing with me I'll guess the articles will be deleted then... / Dreamingtree72 15:32, 6 April 2008 (PDT)

Haha... that's great! ;-) I had an idea... couldn't we make this edition to this articles also and let them live??! Then they won't say it "IS" a reference but that they share the name/title and are a possible reference. Would that be ok? / Dreamingtree72 15:36, 6 April 2008 (PDT)
Ok... that's fine with me... could you please say that on the articles talk pages as well?! Thanks! / Dreamingtree72 15:40, 6 April 2008 (PDT)

Delete (change my opinion)

I have thought about this a few days now, and I must say I have changed opinion about the articles One of Us (song), Born to Run (song) and The Internationale. There would be, as you all say, a big risk that there will be a lot of speculative articles with unconfirmed information. I think it would be a good idea to have this "possible" references listed in the Music/Theories instead. If there are anything mentioned about this "possible" references in the episode articles it would be nice if someone would make a crossref to Music/Theories instead of crossref to Music.

I have also a few other articles that might be subject of deletion. Check out The House of the Rising Sun, Ladytron (song) and Purple Haze and mark for deletion if you think so. Theres also some songs, that I haven't created articles for yet, that I'm unsure of. Can you give me your opinion about them before I create them please. Check out Music#Referenced songs and musicians. There have been discussion about one song earlier on the Talk:Music#"In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. While you are there you can have a look at the references to musicians (without song) on the list. Have a nice evening! / Dreamingtree72 13:52, 8 April 2008 (PDT)

Re: Songs (Deletions)

Thank's... Just tell me what you think on my talk page or at the Talk:Music when you have checked out the editions at the Music#Referenced songs and musicians list. / Dreamingtree72 06:52, 9 April 2008 (PDT)

Bob Dylan

The song "Subterranean Homesick Blues" by Bob Dylan is on the list on the Music article (Referenced songs and musicians).
The context is; The video that Juliet plays for Jack on the Hydra television, in which she holds up cue cards, is reminiscent of Bob Dylan's video for "Subterranean Homesick Blues".
Do you think this is to speculative or should it be in the article? This is the last song on the list that don't have an article yet. Thought I discuss this before I create that article. / Dreamingtree72 06:14, 16 April 2008 (PDT)

The user Dagg made this notation to the Music article; This reference was confirmed in the 11/06/06 podcast. So I guess it's not speculative anymore... ;-) / Dreamingtree72 00:19, 17 April 2008 (PDT)

The Adventures of

All better? Robert K S (talk) 17:11, 19 April 2008 (PDT)

Please don't put spoilers in edit summaries. Next-week's-episode promos are considered spoilers. Robert K S (talk) 19:33, 25 April 2008 (PDT)

I've amended the policy page LP:SP to make this point clear. Some viewers don't like to be spoiled about any details of the next week's episode and avert their eyes and plug their ears during the "Next week on Lost" trailers. They should expect to be able to navigate Lostpedia without inadvertently learning those details they wish to avoid. Cheers, Robert K S (talk) 19:39, 25 April 2008 (PDT)

Article of the Week

Thanks, but I didn't do anything. Thank the people who called for it to return (like TechNic) or who nominate and vote on articles. Cheers, Robert K S (talk) 16:24, 1 May 2008 (PDT)

Images from Wikipedia

I don't know of a way to "paste", as you say, an image from one wiki to another. You'd have to download the image to your hard drive, then upload it to Lostpedia. Make sure it's a free image or there is some valid fair use rationale behind its use. Robert K S (talk) 17:33, 2 May 2008 (PDT)

Re:Via Domus

Though I think its a speedy rename, it would be best to wait a little longer / for more votes. I'll do it soon though bar objections. --Nickb123 (Talk) 06:04, 19 May 2008 (PDT)

"Arzt & Crafts"

Well, I'll give you this much. If "So It Begins" is Vincent-centric, then I guess "Arzt & Crafts" can be Arzt-centric. My basic problem is that I don't feel episodes should ever be -centric for non-central characters... Thoughts? Robert K S (talk) 19:52, 22 May 2008 (PDT)

Could you preview your edits to the Jacob page before saving? They're kinda building up on RC. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  19:56, 23 May 2008 (PDT)

Hey, no worries. I'm guilty of doing that too. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  20:00, 23 May 2008 (PDT)

The Other 48 Days

Isn't it a matter of opinion though? If it wasn't Ana Lucia centric then we wouldn't have had the scene of her killing Goodwin, surely? Also, A Tale Of Two Cities should be a Juliet flashback episode should it not? If Dave is considered Libby's... {{User:01lander/sig} 16:30 25 May 2008 (PDT)

Featured Article

You voted no on making the Monster Theories a featured article with the argument that it's too long and needs clean up work. Hypothetically, if someone was to clean it up and shorten it, how long would one have to wait until it's possible to nominate it again for Feautured Article? Thanks for doing an awesome job! --Ashrawi 14:16, 29 May 2008 (PDT)

Thanks for the encouragement! I love editing and getting a compliment for it sure is icing on the cake. The finale of Season 4 blew my mind in so many ways. I'm so blown away by this show and the theories it generates that I will make it my goal to have the particular theories section we've talked about ready to be a Featured Article before this year is over. Keep up the awesome job! --Ashrawi 13:19, 30 May 2008 (PDT)

Yeah there is. There's Kokou and Lakour. They're revealed in the Season 4 finale. Rewatch the part when Keamy's taking Ben to the helicopter, and listen carefully.

Yeah I do. Just how do you add pictures? And rewatch that part, you'll believe me then.
Um... can I send u the 2 pictures via email instead? I don't get how to upload the pictures.
Yeah McCord=Lakour, but my article has more information than the other one. Kokour doesn't = Copeland.

Authoring a template

I'm not exactly sure what functionality you have in mind, but this this might be of help. (Wrong link given first time) Robert K S (talk) 12:52, 4 June 2008 (PDT)

Italics to quotations

I noticed you added italics to Biblical text in The Bible. My feeling on italics is that they should be reserved for emphasis, or for denoting major works (books, films). Italicizing quoted passages, merely to indicate that they have been quoted, is redundant over the quotation marks. Robert K S (talk) 08:54, 8 June 2008 (PDT)

Greetings -

I liked your question about physicals, although my guess is that Jack and the remainder of the Six were probably offered medical services rather than required to accept them. I had raised a similar issue some time ago in reference to Kate as a post-partum mother and Aaron's age. I think you ought to rephrase the item and put it on the talk page.

--Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 11:23, 8 June 2008 (PDT)

I don't know either. Well, I do, kinda. There was a question in UQ about the Six having had to take physicals when they were rescued. Someone removed the question and, as near as I could tell, the question had been posted by you. Obviously, I misinterpreted the info on the screen. Please ignore the whole thing.

--Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 14:27, 8 June 2008 (PDT)

Hi CTS! Nice sig. But it has a little technical issue, it's leaving the hard code on the pages. You might want to:

  • Change your name from the preferences page to {{SUBST:User:CTS/autosig}}. It seems that it's currently set to {{SUBST:User:CTS/sig}}

If you do that it should be fixed. Thanks. --     c      blacxthornE      t     05:23, 12 June 2008 (PDT)

Spoiler Warning

It always stays there. Its just to make sure no one can complain about being spoilt even though the show aired nearly a month ago now!  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  07:03, 15 June 2008 (PDT)

  • Frogurt is not listed as background. Three points to consider: 1) The big table is entitled MAIN CHARACTERS. 2) The section you refer to is entitled "BACKGROUND CAST AND MISCELLANEOUS". 3) The superscript footnotes for Frogurt do not mention background cast. Hope this helps clarify things. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk  13:01, 15 June 2008 (PDT)
  • I agree it was confusing. I changed the section title to "MISCELLANEOUS AND BACKGROUND CAST" to help clarify a little. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk  02:30, 16 June 2008 (PDT)

bring back the casualties petition

After the events that happend with deleting the 5 casualty articles, me and some other users started a petition for bringing those articles back on Lostpedia. If you share our opinion on this matter, please sign the "Save The Redshirts" section on my user page. If you want you could contact other users about this or create a "Save the redshirts" section on your user page, because the goal is to get as many users to sign the petition as possible along with 6 SysOps (Admins). I would appriciate a quick respond and a sign on either my user page or User:LostCloverfield42's page. --Orhan94

Purge table

Nah, I adapted if from Wookiepedia, at Template:Battle. I'm planning on making other pages for major battles and adding it to all of them. --Blueeagleislander 02:04, 16 June 2008 (PDT)
