the Monster Edit

You keep on moving the monster to a partially answered mystery for no reason, the only two questions left are not enough to justify it's partially answered status.

• What exactly is the Monster?
  • We saw that way back in "Exodus", that it is a cloud of black smoke. Though if you want a more precise answer, it is a cloud of smoke with the abilities to take on the forms of the dead, created when MiB was thrown in the Source, since when it's only objective is to leave the Island, which it can't do until it kills Jacob, and later his candidates, though because of the Rules he has to do both of these indirectly.
• Why does it make mechanical noises?
  • Because it does, that is a trait of the Monster's, just like invulnerability to bullets, even in human forms, vulnerability to high frequency sonar fences, some form of telekinesis, levitation etc. If it didn't make the mechanical noises, it would've made other noises, in which case we would've had to post a different UQ ("Why does it make the *whatever noise it would've made*?") or it wouldn't have made any noise at all ("Why doesn't it make any noise at all?"). Even if this is a mystery about the Monster, it isn't a major one.

You might have noticed that other mysteries which are listed as answered have one or two unanswered questions. The Monster falls into this category, as well, so please stop reverting it to a partially solved mystery. --Orhan94 10:32, September 4, 2010 (UTC)
