Am I the only one who liked the way Iliana died? Perhaps I like it because I feel confident that I know why the writers made that decision -- to shake things up a bit.
With everything in the show plodding along to their seemingly predetermined fates, they threw in a wild card -- something to make us think "hmm... is there really some kind of divine plan here?". Also, it keeps us on our toes. It's not exciting if everything is safe and predictable.
