As some may know, I just finished reading the Watchmen series which I enjoyed thoroughly. Shortly after watching last nights episode, I thought about the similarities between what happens to Dr. Osterman and Adam. Dr. Osterman gets locked in the machine that removes objects from their intrinsic fields. Adam gets thrown into the well of massive amounts of electro magnetic energy. Dr. Osterman becomes Dr. Manhattan and is a completely different entity, neither dead nor really alive, certainly not human, and has an array of abilities. Adam becomes Smokey, also an entirely different entity from human, neither living nor dead, certainly not human in the conventional sense and also has an array of abilities.

What do you guys think? Am I fishing for stuff that's not there?
