  • i know this isnt the offical disscusion page for this, but can anyone clarify, if Im still technically a winner?... im sorry.

  • Congratulations to all the new winners.

  • ..........

  • R.I.P Lost So whats everyone watching now to replace Lost? I'm already a fan of Desperate Housewives so I have continued to watch that. But now I'm a huge fan of the Saw series.

  • Way to choose some hard core Lostpedia users who really contribute to this site...not. Congrats anyway.

  • Lost was a series like any other before. It was truly a human, character driven show. It showed the importance of faith and love for every human being in the world.

  • I loved how the show never said the flashsideways as purgatory. Instead, they gave us the perfect amount of material to work with and figure out the ending on our own :) That felt really rewarding :)

    • No it didn't. Get over yourself. rewarding? Rewarding would have been answering every little question ever, more special features on the dvd cuz i already got all the seasons, why buy them all over again? BUt, I guess it was a good ending. Just not rewarding.

  • the beginning of Season 6 was a little weak. It had the characters trapped in a temple, there were three separate storylines to follow and care about. But around midway with after the Temple was destroyed, Jack and Hurley team-up with the other Losties to go after MiB, the show really kicked it up a notch. The show was in colclusion mode, revealing mystery after mystery. It was awesome, Richard's backstory and the whispers.

The End is one of the best episodes of LOST. It has amazing action fight scenes with I did not think LOST could have. When Jack and MiB throw down on the cliffside it was epic. The Flashsideways coming together at the end, really felt rewarding.

  • This show has been my constant for the past six years. It was bittersweet to see it come to a conclusion. I met Matthew Fox at LAX on 12/30/08, and that was probably the most surreal LOST experience ever. I also had the privilege of meeting Jorge Garcia/Hurley, as well as Michael Emerson's Ben, and Damon/Carlton at the LOST TimesTalk event.

As for Season 6, I wish the "afterlife" timeline had meant that they were actually still alive. Up until the finale, I was hoping there would be some resolution that allowed for that scenario to happen. It was somewhat heartbreaking to know that the "alt" timeline meant that most of these characters whose lives we were so invested in had perished on the island...the end.

I was somewhat disappointed with Season 6 - knowing that it was the final 16+ episodes, the show should have concluded on a stronger note. The producers/writers had three years to wrap up the show in a conclusive manner, but I still feel that the earlier half of the season meandered, which made episodes like Across the Sea not very effective.

Still my favorite show of all time though, hands down.

  • A part of me loved it. A part of me hated it.

The part that loved it was the part that has seen every episode at least twice and was happy to see many beloved characters come back, even if just for 45 seconds(Ana Lucia).

The part that hated it was the part that has lived the last 5 seasons in a clouded daze and was awaiting clarity only to find herself thinking, "uhh, what?" after the end.

Many episodes during the 6th season seemed like fillers. They focused on relationships or pasts that had nothing to do with the end. How is it that Jacob could leave the island when the solid disagreement between him and his brother is that there is nothing beyond the island? Who cares about Jack and his imaginary son when the end product are Jack and Kate and Sawyer and Juliet? So Sawyer is a cop and Miles is his partner, and somewhere in there is Ana Lucia and fugitive Kate. Been there done that, lets move on.

I mean really, how many times can the same thing be said in different time frames and in different locations?

  • I loved the ending. It left me with a sorrowful feeling at first. I just didn't know what to think. It only bums me out that it is over. Part of what I loved and hated was the anticipation of a new episode. The ending was very well done as well (music and directing...).

  • Really great show. Now what will I watch on tv?

  • question one, christian was never important at all, so why is he in the finale two, kate and sawyer both left the island successfully at the end, so would they would have continued their romance or whatever you wanna call it, so why would they then respectively fall in love with juliet/jack in the parallel universe? would they not remember a lifetime of happiness with each other? and i thought the cork was badass, way to bring in the old egyptian Djed writers. you know your stuff.

  • The ending was perfectly beautiful. Enough said.

  • I watched Lost Season One when I was ten years old and didn't start watching it again until Season Three returned. I was instantly reconnected with the characters, the drama, and the plot. I re watched everything to get caught up to season five. Season five was my breaking point because I was more emotionally connected with everything going on. As season six came back, I was even more emotional because my favorite show was ending. When the finale came on, I watched the review of the whole show and could not stop crying. Then when the actual finale came on, I was built up of emotion. Locke was my favorite character and although he was now the smoke monster, I was sad to see Jack kill him. Ben was also my favorite character and I thought it was great to see him as Hurley's #2 because he was a true leader after all. Throughout the finale, I was crying and the characters remembering everything didn't ease that. I think the saddest/happiest remembrance was when Kate, Claire, and Charlie remembered. I love watching that scene over and over (even though I cry terribly every time). As the end drew near, I was waiting for the suspenseful moments as to what had happened. When Jack finally remembered, I was full of happiness. When the Oceanic 815 and the other characters reunited in the church, I could not stop crying. Jack dying was probably the hardest because he was such a great leader and a hero. After the show went off, I had to run out of the living room and sobbed hard in the bathroom because my show had ended and I was left with the memories. I still record the show when it comes on because I cannot afford to buy the seasons. I only have the first two and hopefully for Christmas my family will buy me the rest. I still get upset today as I listen to the Michael Giacchino songs. I write my own Lost Role Play and I am about to start writing season five. It's a very big passion for me and hopefully one day, people will start reading it (since I posted it online too). Lost may have ended, but it will live on forever.

    • Beautifully said...It's great to see a young person with such mature taste in tv shows. I felt exactly the same and agree with you 100. Btw, where did you post your Lost Role Play? Would like to read some.

  • It seems as if though they did not finish answering all the questions but the ending itself was awesome!

  • This was the greatest finale of all time. The reunions were all so beautiful and I loved that Jack realized the truth at the end.

  • OMG they answered everything. I loved every minute of season six and the finale. I am so happy for all the characters. It was so cool how they ended up together in the end!!!

  • I loved it! It wasnt what I saw coming or how I would have ended it, but I feel emotionally fulfilled for my six seasons of commitment to the show. Now please give me free DVD/Blu Rays, whatever, I just love free swag....

  • September 22, 2004, the first day that changed my life. I was 12 years when my 11 year old brother and I started watching. But even as a twelve year old, I was hooked. Ever since that first night, I was completely in love. And, I'll admit, in the beginning, I was looking for answers. I NEEDED some freaking answers about an island that has a smoke monster, a mysterious doomsday hatch, and polar bears. I watched EVERY week that a new episode aired for 6 years to find them out. But it wasn't until three months ago that I realized that it wasn't about answers. It was always the questions. And the characters.

May 23, 2010, the second day that changed my life. I'm 18 now and when I saw LOST's finale... I cried. No. I sobbed, for at least 3 hours after the credits finished rolling and many times since then. My brother laughed at me even though he understands why I did. Because, it was sooo beautiful the way they wrapped up the story of the CHARACTERS. It made me see that that was the most important element in the show, what the entire show was based around. And the fact that they brought all the characters full circle and left the island (for the most part) a mystery just shows me how ingenious the writers of LOST really are. I would not love the show as much if they had answered EVERY question in black and white. It's a lot like the Bible in the sense that, it's not about KNOWING... it's about BELIEVING. Believing that by pushing a button you will be saving the world. Believing that your life is not cursed by six numbers. Believing that no matter how far you stray from that divine path of righteousness, you can always find your way back (redemption). The "Losties" learned to believe. To believe in the island... and in each other. And I believe in LOST.

  • I have mixed feelings on the finale. It gave closure for sure, but I wish they would have dove into dharma and the mysteries of the island more. I know thats not what the producers pushed as the main storyline, but it was one of the main reasons I was hooked to the show.

  • The finale left you guessing. I know my wife & I discussed it for days. In some ways it still makes you wonder. It had you thinking the whole thing was a dream or some kind of alternate universe. Very well written ending & made everyone talk.

I need to watch it again to see if I can get a better understanding.

  • Overall, Season 6 was pretty good. There were times at the beginning of the season where it seemed to really drag. Then, later in the season, it seemed like they were cramming to get stuff in. Less time at the temple may have helped. As far as the finale, I really liked it. It took me some time to process, but I liked it. Despite very few answered questions, I did enjoy seeing nearly everyone back that had been long gone. (Missed Eko of course. - Nikki & Paulo, not so much.) The ending cuts between the church and Jack on the island were a perfect way to end the series.

  • The season finale was truly amazing! I couldn't imagine it ending any other way! It was beautiful, sweet, nerve-whacking, and emotional! A sweet and awesome ending to the best dramatic show on TV PERIOD!!

  • I wished they would have at least talked a little about the civilization that inhabited the island before Jacob's mother (i.e. the ones who built the Egyptian-like structures). Other than that, it was great.
