Thoughts? Island's power (including Jacob's and MiB's)

I've been thinking about this for a long time, ever since season 4 if I remember correctly. I've always asked myself, to what extent does the island have power over everything and everyone?. We saw in one episode that the islands power prevented Michael from killing himself. I want to know, how does the islands power extend out into the real world? Or does Jacob have something to do with that?

It makes no sense to me that the islands power can go to that extent. I can understand it somehow changing someones destiny so it leads them to the island, but how can it prevent someone from ending their "destiny" by killing themselves? Do you think this will be explained? Or am I just thinking into it too much?

We know about some powers of the MiB, w…

My thoughts: the experiment, Desmonds episode.

When I saw them put Desmond in that room for the experiment, the first thing I thought to myself was, OK..that looks really similar to the cabin where fake jacob was supposedly staying (except without furniture or decorations). Even the chair looked similar, but then I realised it wasn't a rocking chair like the one in Jacobs cabin, so no way it could've been the same one. Did anyone else think that?

But that got me thinking I'm hoping they answer the questions of the cabin; like, was the MiB the person in the cabin? why was he invisible (or whatever you'd like to call it)? was he really trapped or what? how did he get trapped? As for how he was trapped, I'm assuming that had something to do with the ashes around the cabin, but if that's th…

My thoughts: Jacob

Well I haven't posted in a while but thought I'd get back into the habit of doing so.

I'll post some thoughts on Jacob, there have been some thoughts/ideas from around season 4 up until season 6 "Ab Aeterno"

..

When we first saw the 'real' Jacob in "The Incident" (and his flashbacks which followed in that episode) I felt like he was some sort of spirit. Perhaps something of an angel. I'm not saying he IS. I'm saying he has the ability to work miracles. Ever since that episode I also thought of Jacob as a pure and completely good/calm entity on and off the island. He always seemed in control aswell. This idea of an "invincible" and "in control" Jacob was nearly extinguished by the end of the same episode that he was introduced in. This was be…

Questions and Thoughts

I really enjoyed the final episode of the season, great stuff. Firstly, Sayid got shot and it didn't look like he'd survive from his injuries. I was wondering, we don't know if he's dead for sure, I mean the Losties came in the van and started shooting the dharma initiative but I don't think I saw Sayid. So is he dead? If he is then why would they make his death so subtle? Every other main character has had a very straightforward in your face type of death, it just seems weird if Sayid, who is one of the main cast, to die like that. And if he's not dead then: do you think he'll live through his injuries? I mean he was shot around the stomach area and if the bullet penetrated his stomach, without medical help and proper surgery I'm thinking…

What if? Bram, Illana and co. Theory

What if, Kate, Sawyer and Juliet do end up leaving the island (or any one of them, in any combination) in 1977, it could be a possibility that they end up sending Bram, Illana and the group onto the island. This would explain why they know what flight to get on, (as Kate already got on that flight once) and they would have a significant amount of knowledge. It's just a possibility, assuming Kate, Sawyer and Juliet do indeed leave the island (thought i hope not) Your thoughts?
