Not to take any attention away from the discussion of the season premier or this final season, but has anyone ever read the book "Lost Horizon" by James Hilton? One of my favorite aspects of this show has been the inclusion of literature into the storyline, an art form which has become more and more neglected by younger generations. Having read a number of the works included in the show, my own tastes and experience with literary works have certainly expanded into genres and books I may not have otherwise have read, allowing for not only new insights into the show itself, but also personal growth which accompanies the reading of any good book. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone had ever read the book 'Lost Horizon" by James Hamilton, or if anyone knew if it had been incorporated into Lost. Aside from being a very enjoyable book, there are a number of parallels between the plot of both "Lost Horizon" and Lost itself, including a plane crash, diverse surviving group, an ancient place that is "special", and many other things.
