Before this Blog Loses Too Many Writers
People have told me I'm incredibly clever, analytical, etc. which I always took as a compliment. However, compared to many of you wiki-bloggers I feel so dumb. Some of you guys catch details that went over my head, articulate such eloquent theories, process the storyline with apparent ease, and so forth. It has been an experience of it's own to get to indirectly know some of the regular bloggers. The screen names for people are almost as much fun to read as the blogs themselves. Mine is boring. Next time I get devoted to a blog, I'll know to put much more thought into my screen name. It's been a fun trip!
Faraday's Journal
I assume the Faraday's journal and the reason he had such memory problems and seemed crazy is because he time traveled to and from the island and real time. Therefore, does this mean he time traveled betweeen life and death? Anyone follow me?
Do you think Jacob always wanted Jack to be the new Protector?
Thinking about his comments about the Looking Glass, etc. Jacob didn't work so hard to save the other 3 or convince them of destiny. So I bet he had Jack in mind the whole time, but was kinda kind by offering him a choice. Though we know Jack has the only character that would "play God" as Sawyer called him to actually stay. What do you think? What do you think it would be like if one of the others stayed?
Jacob and MIB's Kidnapping Mother
I really just did not like her. She was deceptive, a killer, and a liar. All these "good" protector people are "all the same," meaning she, Jacob, and MIB all manipulate and exploit people for their own agenda. MIB had justifiable reasons for making his decisions. She apparently burned down an entire village of friend/humans MIB had. Why didn't she do it sooner? Why wait until they discovered something. She knew where they were digging, etc. So she stole these 2 babies because she was lonely and then kills one because he doesn't follow her around like a puppy dog. This is just my little rant and don't know if it'll effect the ending of the show. Though, she's kinda like Eloise. She kills her son for "The Island."
Widmore's Relationship with Desmond
After reading the page on Widmore, I came up with a theory that makes him a little more soft hearted than he appears. He told Ben that one day he'd have to choose between Alex and the island. Widmore already had via Daniel. Later in life he wanted to have children, but did so off the island in order to not have to sacrafice his child. As an older man he knew some things about Desmond, and wanted to spare Penny the heartache of losing him. He knew Desmond would have to choose between Penny/Son and the Island. Widmore sees the Island as a God; and thinks Des should choose/will choose to abandon Penny. Kinda sweet as a daddy. I'm not sure I would have done the same; but he was trying to be her protector and doesn't want to see his bab…
