Why does Jacob not wanted that the Man in Black leaves the Island?

As I can see in Ab Aeterno, Jacob said to the Man in Black that he don't want that he leaves the Island. But the Man in Black want to kill Jacob. And the Man in Black said that he kills everyone who the next Jacob is. Maybe is Jacob not responsibile for the deaths of all his candidates, but the Man in Black. Maybe are the 2 men con each other in away.

  1. If all the candidates are dead, Jacob needs new persons.
  2. The Man in Black kills the new ones.
  3. Jacob bring people to the Island.

And so on and on. One of those 2 will win. So that could being a reason why Jacob needs to be dead. He possibly could seeing the future and know that he was going to die. That's why he needed six candidates. Both men are con each other, so that the Man in Black never can leave the Island.--Station7 22:33, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
