How I think Eloise Hawking became the caretaker of the Lamp Post!

I've been thinking why Eloise Hawking became the caretaker of the Lamp Post. It's exactly simple for me. In the Incident Parts 1 & 2, we saw that Richard hit Eloise so that Sayid and Jack escaped from DHARMAville. After that Richard escaped back to the Others camp, Eloise was there alone and the DHARMA people found her. They talked to her and Eloise changed her mind, because she thought that Widmore planned this. Eloise became one of the DHARMA people, but Eloise wanna go off the Island. She ask off she could working in a station. They said that there was a station called the Lamp Post. Eloise was brought off the Island via the submarine.
