Numbers... Bible .... Weird...
Someone has probably already done this but I got curious and decided to check out the book "Numbers" in the bible and see if any of the lost numbers came up with anything interesting.
Numbers 4:8 gives you
8 Over these they are to spread a scarlet cloth, cover that with hides of sea cows and put its poles in place.
It is better however to read all more to gain context. But this passage is actually about Moses and AARON. I haven't quite gotten my mind around what else this could mean.
This is the weird one...
Numbers 15:16 is...
"16 The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the alien living among you.' "
Now I am not big on the actual "Alien" theory so I'm taking that word more to mean foreign than little green men ;) But as far as laws and regulations this could definitely have significance. And the aliens may be all of the island's different inhabitants meaning that they follow the same rules as Jacob and MIB?
Now there is no Numbers 23:42 BUT
Numbers 23 is about JACOB. I need to read more to get context but one man is asking the other to betray Jacob and he does not. "'Come,' he said, 'curse Jacob for me;
come, denounce Israel.' "
... How can I curse
those whom God has not cursed?
How can I denounce
those whom the LORD has not denounced?
9 From the rocky peaks I see them,
from the heights I view them.
I see a people who live apart
and do not consider themselves one of the nations.
10 Who can count the dust of Jacob
or number the fourth part of Israel?
Let me die the death of the righteous,
and may my end be like theirs!"
11 Balak said to Balaam, "What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies, but you have done nothing but bless them!"
No thoughts on 42 yet though...
