I have checked out the state of IF and it is good. An amazing language for writing them called Inform7 is availalbe for free, and Google code project "parchment" will allow people to play them online and eventually for them to have online features.

So I've been working on one, and it's really crude right now as I've just managed to learn the language decently after a lot of flailing. Inform7 reads like english... but it's an object oriented language (pretty much) and once one gets it, it starts to be really easy and do a lot of things for you.

I have done Desmond in the Hatch with Kelvin, first he will have to follow Kelvin and kill him, then he will have to get the gun (you can see me get it) and try to commit suicide, which will cause Locke to bang the hatch and stop him.

Anyone that want to help work on it say so and we'll arrange something. Soon I should have a playable version on parchment.

There two exits.

You can also see a swan alarm, a swan timer, a station table (on which are a coffee cup and a station computer (empty)), a comfy chair, a master console, an assistants station and a station chair here.

This is an underground utility corridor, which makes sense since this station is underground. The walls are cold concrete, it is dimly lit by the equipment and a few stale low-watt light bulbs. Kelvin used this place to store his paints. The paint from of his incomplete mural clings to the wall darkly.

Kelvin is working on his mural and can't be bothered.
