Ok, for anyone who was confused, Desperately Searching is the story of 12-year-old Bobby Byrne, and his 15-year-old sister Angie who accompany two obsessed Lost fans on a search for The Island, and find parallels between their adventure, and the story of Lost.

Now, I was sure that Dakota was also crazy. But we would have fun searching for this mythical place. Hunter believed that the writers of "Lost" were inspired by a message sent from an actual place: The Island. He believed that nothing as genius as "Lost" could simply come from a human's mind. I was just worried about returning. "Mr. Hunter, what are we going to do, if we actually find this island?" He looked down at me, and then looked away. Staring at the sky, he sighed. "Well, we are going to protect The Source."
"Yes, Bobby, The Source. The heart of the island. Someone has to protect it. In the show, it is Jacob, and then Hurley. And in reality, it will hopefully be me and Mrs. Anderson."
"There can be two-AHH!" I was interrupted by a large flock of black birds, screeching, and zooming through our hot air balloon. I couldn't see anything. All I heard were screams and beating wings. I felt something bite my left cheek. After about 20 seconds, the sky was clear. "Everyone OK?" Hunter yelled. "Yeah," I heard Angie reply. My face was bleeding, but I replied, "Yes, I am OK."
"Dakota?" Hunter yelled.
"Mrs. Anderson?" I heard Angie say. Silence. Hunter, Angie, and I all ran to the back of the basket. "Dakota!?" Hunter repeated frantically. More silence. I saw something fall from the sky. A drop of blood landed on Angie's forehead.
