Does Hurley's DAVE have a greater connection to the island?

Season 2 was before we EVER realized that Hurley was more or less communing with the dead too... in addition to Miles I mean. So my question is, knowing what we now know, does it make sense that while rewatching DAVE from Season 2, I might seriously question whether or not Dave is ONLY a figment of Hurley's imagination?

Perhaps he's actually a deceased Other maybe, or someone else with a connection to the island. Even at that point in time, both on the island and in his flashback, Hurley was blissfully unaware of his own unique power. And given the fact that there were some pretty strange forces at work trying to keep Hurley from getting on the plane, it then makes sense that once on-island, someone would be trying to knock him off.

He's cle…

The Dharma Initiative Orientation Kit REVIEWED

This is a repost of the review I did for the set on Amazon.

4 out of 5 stars

I'm going to get one thing out of the way... I love it; it's a great little set with lots of little things that the completist-consumerist geek in me absolutely craves. That'll come last though.

FIRST, MY PROBLEMS WITH THE SET

There's nothing of any real consequence. Now I can't deny, the Geronimo Jackson CD is nice and unexpectedly fun, but the song has been available on iTunes for months, and it offers little insight.

Unlike most, I dig and understand that they wanted retro with the VHS, even if a VHS isn't technically authentic to the time period. What bugs me, like most, is that given that it's truly the only thing about the set with real weight and value to the ex…

Charlotte as proof of WHH?

I'm not going to ramble, I'll just keep this short, sweet, and to the point. Charlotte remembered that Faraday told her not to come back to the island--she remembered this right before she died. In the 1970s though, Faraday only finally decided to have that conversation with a very young Charlotte AFTER he had already decided to detonate Jughead. This HAS to mean that the detonation of Jughead had already contributed to the events leading up to 9/22/04, etc. This is of course in addition to the fact that Miles was without a father, a father who only pushed Miles and his mother away BECAUSE of the impending incident, AND the fact that Eloise sent her son to the island knowing she would shoot him in her youth while he was traveling with Jack…

Flocke? What about Flaire?!

Locke died off island, but once his body was back on island, Flocke (Fake-Locke) was suddenly fooling everyone into believing Locke was back from the dead. Season 4, Claire is in the Dharma house that get's hit with one of Keamy's rockets, right? Well, here's my theory...

What if it happened much quicker for Claire. Suppose she actually died in that explosion, and the person Sawyer found was actually Flaire (Fake-Claire), going through the motions. This would explain why Flaire was later found laughing inside the cabin with Christian, also widely believed to have been resurrected by The Dark Man from the Season 5 premier.

If this is true, this also supports a host of other theories regarding the ability for more than one resurrected being to…
