Ah, summer. That time when the desert between seasons first opens its gaping maw and we must once again stare into it. To that end, I think there are many things worth looking over once more, and I'd like to bring one to your attention, since it has just come to mine: the ancient Egyptian myth of the Shipwrecked Sailor. It is brief and vague, but is strikingly similar to our Island and one of its inhabitants. This probably isn't going to get much comment, as it's old news, and a bit of a footnote at that. But I recommend it to you as fodder for your off-season musings. It definitely made me raise an eyebrow.
