We’ve seen the frozen wheel twice so far and since Christian told Locke in season 4 and moreso in season 5 it was him that was supposed to move the island not Ben it got me thinking does the wheel have a different effect based on the person who uses it? When Ben spun the wheel it caused chaos in that the survivors were continually pushed through time however when Locke spun the wheel it returned calm (the fact it stopped in the 70s a somewhat laid back era could also attribute) something that mirrors their personas.

Moreover since Christian told Locke it was him that was supposed to move the island does this mean that he wouldn’t have been transported if he would have moved it first and was only done so because of the repercussions of Ben’s movement? Or does the wheel work like a switch once its turned movement occurs until its switched off?

What are your thoughts about it?
