Anyone notice the Loom of Destiny?

Anyone else notice the loom in the caves? I believe we have a Loom of Destiny in our favorite show. His psycho step mom was a Norn, "female deities in Norse mythology who govern fate." According to Wikipedia, "They spin threads and weave the tapestry of fates. Each person's life is a thread in their loom. The length of the thread is the length of the person's life....So everything is set out beforehand. There is no luck, there is no randomness, everything is determined by destiny." I wonder if Jacob inherited this ability and has weaved a loom of destiny around our favorite castaways, to protect them. I also found a few interesting quotes to pass on... -"Swiftly the brain becomes an enchanted loom, where millions of flashing shuttles weave a dissolving pattern — always a meaningful pattern — though never an abiding one." Charles Sherrington --- -"The brain is the organ of destiny. It holds within its humming mechanism secrets that will determine the future of the human race." Wilder Penfield, perhaps the Tapestry is not been fully revealed, and the mysterious island keeps drawing us closer to the heart of whats been going on. Still there are subtle, almost subliminal knowledge being offered to us. I found this definition for the loom of which I speak at"Loom of Destiny: the instrument that shapes the fate of mankind, carved from a bough cut from the World Tree. " I definitely found this interesting. When we first see Jacob, he is working on a tapestry, which is later displayed on his foothouse wall. Is this important? I somehow think it is, I've certainly been wrong before. The Loom of Destiny has been the subject of countless books, short stories, etc. I thought this would be interesting to share... 06:49, May 14, 2010 (UTC)
