I'm guessing that Locke & Ben messed things up by visiting the cabin the first time. Maybe it was the catalyst to release whatever/whoever was trapped in there? Locke did touch the ash surrounding the cabin, even picking some up, maybe this broke the line and allowed "it" to leave?

My instincts tell me that it was Jacob's Rival who was released but i still don't buy the "New Locke is Smokey" idea. In fact i can't and won't even try to explain the whole Locke thing. I'm bamboozled by that one. My theory would also imply that Christian and Claire are on Jake's Rivals side which leaves me very unsure of whether he is good or bad? Is it possible that 2 people/forces can both be "good" and yet still have conflict? I say this because if one was e…

I'm writing this as i'm confused with a lot of you not only comparing but seemingly hoping Lost has ripped off a bible story. The whole point of Lost for me was its freshness and originality, If we're told now that its about Jacob (The Father Of Israel) and his brother it will be a huuuuuge let-down. It'd be like going, Jacob is Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader is the smoke monster.

I really like reading peoples theories i just don't want to have to sift through peoples Tenuous Bible connection Theories to get to the fresh and well thought out ideas. Ancient Civilization - Yes, Jesus and God? - NO THANK YOU!

The season finale totally blew me away. Pretty much all of my theories were wrong. I even scornfully scoffed at the idea of Locke 2.0 as some have called him, All the Jacob theories were...........miles off! Up is white, black is day, my head hurts and so i may never return to this forum as i don't have the brain space for both my own theories and trying to figure out what we have seen in Lost already.

On a side note (and it probably won't be the case) i was quite upset when Jacob was "killed", i liked that fella in Dexter and he looked good as Jacob i thought, it'd be a shame to learn so much about a character just to kill him off straight away. He won't be dead, we'll see him again. Won't we?

Gutted not to see any of Walt, we probably won'…

    Walt Anyone?

    May 13, 2009 by LiamOf12

Does anyone else think/hope that Walt comes back into the storyline? I was really surprised when he wasn't on the plane with the other "flight 316" people. I just hope that we see him in the finale or early next season because there is so much of him we need to find out about. I know a lot of people have said he is a future other leader and i have always thought that would be the case. Maybe the (series) ending will see Locke in a Jacob role, Aaron in a Richard role and Walt as the leader. However it turns out i just really hope he plays a part in the eventual end of Lost and wanted to see what everyone else thought?

I've seen a lot of people saying that the whole "use the bomb to change history" plot with Jack & Sayid to be pointless, i think personally that storyline-wise its incredibly important. This will finally show either way what you can or can't do with regards to changing what has/will happen. Plus, on a side issue, with the bomb being on wheels my guess is that we will see more of the underground temple and maybe even the temple itself as they wheel it out into the jungle which will be a nice addition to the season finale. Hopefully we'll see Claire again, remember her? :) Probably in the cabin with Christian when Lockes gang turn up at his door. My guess for Season ending is Jack seeing his dad (and Claire) and that stops the bomb being se…
