Why or what would cause Jack to say to Richard, "Yeah, I know John Locke, if I were you I would not give up on him."???? After all the bumps and confrontations John has had with Locke, WHY oh Why would he say that to Richard Alpert? It does not make any sense to me. Please anyone if you have a rational explanation, I would love to hear it. You would think he would say something more along the lines of watch John Locke closely! Am I right? We know Jack did not like him at all after what happened to Boone and has always been suspicious of him so the writers have really screwed the pooch by putting in a contradictory line like that.
