    Ben Lyin to us

    May 17, 2010 by Jerry R

During his entire time on the show almost everything Ben has said can be shownn to have been a lie. In fact, I can think of only two things Ben has said that were true. The first when he said at Locke's burial that John Locke was a better man than he would ever be (or words to that effect) and when he said to Juliet, "Guess I'm out of the book club, huh?" Other than that, lies. So why do any of them believe him and return to the island? Other than for the convenience of the story?

    Claire.

In the OT everybody except Smokey keeps abandoning her, including Jack right after she told him she was with Smokey cause he was the only one that did not abandon her (Last Recruit). Not sure why they keep doing this but Smokey is still the one she is with.

In the FST Claire can't seem to get a moment alone. Speaking with Desmond at the luggage carousel, kidnappped in the cab by Kate then dumped but picked back up, then met by Desmond and taken to the lawyer, where she met big bro' Jack and now big bro' is inviting li'l sis to move on in.

I look forward to FST Jack coming to the realization that every person he has spoken to, seen, or had any interaction with for the past few days was also on Oceanic Flight 815. Even Mr. Locke's dentist!

After the next 3.5 hours have run their course and all that was Lost is Found one question will remain for me. Will I be eagerly awaiting the release of Season 6 on DVD (with voluminous extra material) or will I be putting Seasons 1 thru 5 in the June yard sale stack. If I do keep the whole series, I know there is no reason to watch the back stories of many of the "now known to be red shirts" characters (and how many more dead before May 23rd?), and there is already no reason to sit through "Expose'."

Did they know it all along or was it a convenient use of available material? At the time we were first introduced to Adam and Eve they were planting black and white clues all over the place. That was the original dichotomy; black v white, good v bad, up v down, beach v caves, etc. Was this planned to be MiB and Foster/Step/Killer Mom all along or did they just use the presence of the black and white stones as an easy out?
