Maybe someone can make sense of this for me but what I dont understand is why some of these things would be different just because the plane did not crash on the island in 2004. For instance, in tonights episode, The Substitute, Helen was talking to Locke and said something along the lines of, "we will get my parents and your father and get married in Vegas." Now I know that Locke would not be talking to his Dad after he threw him out a window so he must have become paralyzed a different way. But my question is, why would how he became paralyzed change when this occured years before the plane ever crashed on the island? Nothing on the island or the island's past has to do with Locke and his Dad to my knowledge.
