I may have just missed the episode where this is explained, but in (i think "Deus Ex Machina") the vision/dream that Locke has that shows him where the Beechcraft is, there is a man (who kind of looks like Horace) who is standing there in a large coat (kind of animal fur looking) with his arm in the air, and he looks like he is waiting for someone to come out of the sky. And of course, at that second, the Beechcraft fell from the sky. So my question is . . . Who is this man? Is he related to the DHARMA initiative in any way? Is he a Hostile? Is he one of the people mentioned by Richard Alpert in addition to Widmore at the end of "Whatever Happened, Happened"? Please comment if you have any theories or know who it is.Read more >
I have been thinking about it, and it seems like most of the people on the island from 815 have done something wrong/illegal, or they have "issues". A few examples are: sawyer-wanted to kill anthony cooper, sun-tried to leave jin, hurley-possibly insane, locke and jack-"daddy issues", etc. etc.
Now, think about this: what if the island "selects" the people who go to it. What I mean by that is, what if the island selected that group of people for the reasons stated in the first paragraph, because it knows that they will be tested (e.g. by the monster, etc.). Just a little food for thought, but still . . .
(p.s. I'm still in the process of finishing (what's been made of) the series, so please excuse any incorrect information.Read more >
