Jack always promised that if you didn't live together that you'd die alone. I find it very poetic that since they did all stick together, that since they all lived together, they all died together. Jack said "live together, die alone". We always thought that meant "live together, stay alive". It seems that is was actually, "live together, and you won't die alone." They did not die alone. I think that is why they all created the FST, so that they could die together. Christian said in the FST that some had died before Jack and some died long after but they created the place to find each other. I think they did that, and that the writers did that, so that live together die alone, would be true. Ben wasn't quite with all of them in th…

First of all, of all the great stories out there, I believe LOST to be one of them. I may cause an uprising of the geeks, but I would say that LOST is on the same level of storytelling as Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and Star Wars. It may not be better than those, but it is, in my opinion, on the same level.

Now I realize that Star Wars is a film series, and that Lord of the Rings and Narnia are novels, but in a way, I think LOST is somewhere in between. It is definitely on the same level, and frankly much better than most movies. However, I have always thought that LOST is more like reading a good book than watching a movie or TV. It feels like it moves in chapters rather than episodes or seasons. Some of those chapte…

Just a crazy thought... What if "mother" really was Eve and was put exiled to the Island as punishment for being the first to eat the fruit and subsequently bring about the fall of mankind. There are some similarities. (e.g. two boys, one hates and kills the other).

I know we've gone over the man biblical similarities of lost, although "Across the Sea" had some more similarities that I was thinking about. They keep referencing Adam and Eve, which makes me think about the Island and the similarities to the garden of Eden. In the garden Adam and Eve were created in the image of God, and so there was the evidence of God in every human and the Bible describes God as light. (LOST: There is part of the light in every man; similarity).

In the garden there was two trees; one that brought life and one that brought the knowledge of good and evil and with it, corruption and death. (LOST: There is a place that holds life and rebirth, but also death).

Now Satan (who had been an angel but wanted the power of God a…

I've been thinking about this: If the MIB was Christian, In season 1, Jack was almost killed when he was chasing the Christian (MIB) and fell off a cliff, only to be saved by Locke. Then in season 2 Hurley almost died when Dave (which could very well have been the MIB) tries to get him to jump off a cliff and kill himself. This season we find out that the MIB's cave is... over a cliff, (which looks a lot like the ones that two off the main candidates just about die on). It's also interesting that the MIB may have been specifically trying to kill Jack and Hurley from the very beginning. It's a long shot, but there may be something there.
