Untold backstories

I've read some posts of people being interested in missing backstories. Can anyone think of other characters whose backstory we might be interested in, or missing pieces of a backstory already seen? The obvious ones are R.Alpert, Penny, Libby(jk). IMO, I think an Ethan backstory would be pretty entertaining (since he is honestly one of the creepiest looking characters on the show). I know it is pointless since he died in the first season, but whatever. Maybe Locke's father? Alex growing up? Randy Nations?! Richard Malkin? Pierre Chang? Let's hear 'em...

Ronie Midfew site is up

I decided to check if there was a website up yet, and indeed there is: [1]. Not sure if it is a spoiler or not, because I have no clue what it means. Any thoughts?

Why I think Walt will return

I just rewatched season 1, and I forgot just how much mystery surrounds Walt.

1. Killing the bird at his house in Australia 2. His step dad being scared of him because he is "different" 3. Locke thinking he is so special 4. The knife in the tree ("I did like you said, I could see it...like it was real" -Walt) 5. Him being so good at backgammon 6. Telling Locke "don't open it" when he wasn't even told about the hatch yet.

I may have missed some, but these are the things I could think of off the top of my head only during season one. It seems to me they actually had plans (at this point in the series) for Walt to be an integral character involving the "white vs black" theme. I mean look at the scene of him and Locke on the beach. "One is lig…

Locke's father

So I was thinking about how Locke's father got to the island (which is still a pretty big mystery in my opinion). I think that maybe Nemesis had something to do with it, but then I remembered that Richard HELPED Locke by giving him Sawyer's background file, helping Locke discover that Sawyer would probably kill his father so he wouldn't have to. I'm not sure the signifigance of this, but it must tie into the Jacob/Nemesis battle somehow.

Why isn't Jin dead?

This has been bugging me because the writers never really explained anything about it. Jin clearly should have been obliterated by the freighter explosion, but somehow was alive floating on some peices to be found later by Ruseau (spelling?)and her crew. Is the only explaination that the island didn't want him dead yet, so it was able to prevent his body from being burned/drowned/etc? Seems like kind of a cop out writing-wise, which doesn't usually happen in LOST.
