There are a bazillion theories about Lost that range from the normal to the surreal. As I was listening to The Eagles' hit song "Hotel California" the other day, I noticed many similarities between the song's lyrics and Lost. Thus I proposed that the show itself is a reference to the Hotel California. I suppose it is not a theory per say, but you can definitely tell the relations between the show and the song.
On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Colitas is a reference to the buds of a marijuana plant. This could also represent Charlie's addiction to heroin.

Sawyer 10:1 Grieving from Juliet's demise, Sawyer finds himself in a similar situation to Sayid
Richard 4:1 Jacob's gone, which could mean his immortality might be gone as well
Man in Black 3:2 Evil villains typically have a large tendency t…

Hello, I am technically new to actually contributing to Lostpedia, though I have been reading the site for multiple years. I essentially decided to start this blog because my friends were getting tired of me constantly talking about Lost, so I thought it would be best if I talked about it with people that actually care.
Season 5 raises a lot of questions in its finale, none greater than the question of the reset. At first, I was hesitant to believe in a reset because the show has preached time and time again that you cannot change the past, from as far back as "Flashes Before Your Eyes". But I also wonder why Faraday would decide to change his mind. Even though he is in a state of grief from the death of Charlotte, he still remains a man o…Read more >
