I thought the Man Behind the Curtain was referring to Locke's Dad during that episode... but I now think it was referring to Jacob.

The phrase the "Man Behind the Curtain" refers to the famous line in the Wizard of Oz. The man behind the curtain in that book/movie refers to the "wizard" who really isn't a wizard at all. Rather he is a lying, con artist, who made all the people in Oz believe he was an all powerful leader - when he was in fact a loser who had no powers at all. Um, Ben - definitely Ben.
And as you might remember, once the main characters in the Wizard of Oz - Sawyer, Jack, Hurley & Kate - Oh my bad, I mean Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion & Dorothy - realize that he's not a Wizard, they take matters into their own hands and get what they want by themselves. Hmmm...

So does that make TMIB the wicked witch of the West and Jacob the good witch? Are the other survivors the munchkins? Are the others really the flying monkeys? If I play Dark Side of the Moon along with Lost will it trip me out becauase they correspond with one another?

Well, if there was an episode entitled "Dark Side of the Moon", perhaps there would be a reason to analyze the reasons behind why the writers chose the title. And hopefully if you did that analysis with some careful thought, people would not be so quick to dismiss your reasoning as stupid.

@ Ber418 ---> You are RIGHT ON...
First off... this is a Ben-centric episode, right... so maybe that's a clue?
I think it's painfully obvious... the Man Behind the Curtain is... BEN
