Is Penny manipulating Desmond too?

I have just had a dark, and horrible thought. But don't write it off just yet.. after all.. this is Lost. What if it is not just Eloise, Widmore, and Faraday who have manipulated Desmonds path. What if Penny is in on the secret too?

Think about this one fractured family for a second. Eloise and Widmore, once lovers, create Faraday. Some years later, Widmore apparently fathers Penny to a different mother, making Daniel Faraday and Penny half-siblings. Eloise has convinced/manipulated Desmond during his lifetime, notably in the episode "Flashes before your eyes", convincing Desmond to run from Penny and go to the island. In "The Constant", Faraday convinces Desmond to go to Oxford and deliver the younger Faraday a vital message, key to his re…

Jack

First and foremost, this is absolutely not a spoiler. It is simply a firm statement in one particular direction:

So let's not beat around the bush talking about Sawyer, Kate, Locke, Hurley, Jin, Sun, and I hate to say it, but even Desmond. Clearly the focus of the show will ultimately come down to Jack, his words, his thoughts, and his actions. Of course, everyone else will play an important part. There cannot be a LOST without all of the aforementioned characters. However, I strongy feel that Jack will be the chosen candidate to take over from Jacob. Jack will be in the final scene of Lost. Either his words, or his actions will be the final thing that the audience are left with.

Lost may be a show about destiny, fate or free will, time-trav…

Mirrors, Tomatoes, Corks, Boats (and more!)

Dare I post here? Yes, I dare. I havn't been here for a few days, and I wish to say some things about Lost. I truly didn't think I would wish to say anything here again, but I am going to see what happens. Before I get to my blog I wish to make a few quick points:

To those who offered me support and asked me to come back to the site, you know who you are and I can only say thank you, and that you can truly know that it is for you that I post here once more, and we shall see what happens. To those who consider my being here hypocritical/ridiculous, then that is fair game, but may I politely ask that you refrain from using this space for criticisms/rudeness, and if you have any issues with me, please email me or post a message to my talk page…

Quirky characters.

One big problem that I have with Lost is the way it features its characters disproportionately to the actual intrigue of the character.

I am much happier watching Lost when I am watching Ben, Desmond, Faraday, or Richard on screen. It may just have been an unfortunate happenstance that arose that meant the original cast of Lost didn't actually provide the most interesting set of characters. (Note: I still like our Losties. I am not saying theyre not interesting, I'm just saying there are argueably even more interesting characters featured) I know alot of us love Locke, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer, but they are also 4 of the most hated characters on the show. I also understand that the writers have to stay true to the story they want to tell, I j…
