Why I Am Sure What Happened, Happened: Not. Gonna. Happen. pt. 2

About a week ago, I posted a brief blog about my confidence that as far as the LOST timeline goes, what happened, happened and there won't be any kind of restart. In the comments, U2hmtmkmkm challenged my thinking, with some pretty fair and reasonable logic of his own. So I decided to share my full thinking - hope you don't mind.

In S5's episode,Whatever Happened, Happened, Miles and Hurley get in to a spirited debate on whether or not the future can be changed. Ben Linus has been shot, and Hurley begins to stare at his skin, wondering if he'll begin to fade away like in Back to the Future. Miles quickly jumps in, explaining to Hurley that Ben can't die, because in the future they'll all traveled back from, Ben is alive and well. This thoug…

Not. Gonna. Happen.

Hello.

I used to post here a lot, and then I stopped, telling myself I wouldn't return until the Season Premiere. But then today, (!!!spoiler alert!!!) I read an article that made me want to come share a thought with you all.

The Timeline on Lost Will Not Start Over. Period.

There won't be a restart, there won't be an 'alternate timeline,' there won't be any significant changes that undo the past 5 seasons, or make them irrelevant and if there is...if there is some kind of substantial effect from Faraday's plan, it will come and go by the second episode. I promise you. This is not a spoiler - I have no concrete evidence or inside information to back this up. Yet I am just as confident in this theory as I am in the sun shining tomorrow morning…

DCPB Clues & Frames?!?!

Does anyone know what's up with Lostpedia's blog? They seem to have stopped discussing the frames and clues on DamonCarltonandaPolarBear.com.

Is anyone here keeping up with the site? Any thoughts on the new clue for Frame 8? All the good pictures keep getting sold out before I have a chance to buy them and I don't want to miss out again.

The Long Con...

Just rewatched this episode this morning. Towards the end, Sawyer is talking to Charlie and offers him one of the Virgin Mary statues, assuming the heroin inside it was Charlie's motivation to help Sawyer get the guns. Charlie says that if he'd wanted the heroin, he would've just taken it and then tells Sawyer that he wanted Locke to look like a fool. He wanted to embarrass Locke. Sawyer then replies,

"Well, well, it looks like Johnny Locke's got himself a nemesis."

Wow, right? What a huge context clue, just sitting there in plain sight all this time. Charlie is even wearing all black when Sawyer says this to him, effectively making him, a "man in black."

Now before anyone gets too excited about this: No, I'm not saying that Charlie was pos…

Adam & Eve's Stones And What It Has To With Jacob & the Man in Black

I was re-reading the Adam and Eve page on Lostpedia this morning, when I found this interesting note on the talk page, originally posted by CJDTrismegistus back in 2007.

In the book "The Alchemist" by Paul Coelho there are two stones given to the main character that aid him in making decisions - Black = Yes, White = No. The stones are called Urim and Thummim. Urim and Thummim were also the names given to the Seer stones used by the Hebrews and Israelites to interpret God's Will(they were also the "Seeing Stones" that Joseph Smith used to interpret the book of Mormon). Urim and Thummim can be translated as "lights and perfections" or "revelation and truth"

This is so on point! We know the show has used a lot of Old Testament references, and i…
