I guess it's no big surprise that we're on the move again. Ben, Tom and Richard actually went around the camp and woke each of us up early this morning and told us to pack up our tents and that we're heading to the Temple, which should take our group two days to reach. What's interesting is that they told us not to wake up John Locke because Ben wanted him to wake up just as we were leaving, which he did. We left Locke at the campsite, with his father still tied to that column. My understanding is that Ben told him that he would only be allowed to join us if he brought back his father's dead body. I think Ben is still convinced that Locke won't do it. However, I talked to Richard in private, and he said he spoke to Locke yesterday afternoon and gave him James Ford's file, which contains information about Locke's father's history as a con-man. Of course, there's no guarantee that Locke will actually get Ford to do the deed, but Richard thinks he has a pretty good chance at succeeding, based on his own experience observing people and from what he's learned about both Locke and Ford. But in the meantime, the only thing we can do is keep following Ben, and either Locke will eventually join us, or he won't.
We've made camp at another clearing in the jungle. Tom told us that we can go ahead and pitch our tents here, because we'll most likely stay here another night in order to allow John Locke to catch up to us if he does succeed in killing his father. Ben didn't look very happy while Tom was announcing this. It looks like Richard's not the only member of Ben's staff who wants to see Locke succeed!
