...until the last five minutes. I get why people abandon Lost. When you don't get it at all, who gives a crap? During the entire second half of the episode, I didn't get it, didn't get where they were going, and didn't see connections. Then, all of a sudden, I got the big thing with MIB/Jacob's brother's death.

The Island has a massive and important force involved with it--and it is confirmed that the force holds many gifts, but also holds pure evil. There is one person to try to protect that source. "Special" people desire this great power, and it can consume them. It makes them someone that can be possessed (after death) by the pure evil.

For so long, we thought MIB was...Titus Welliver/MIB guy. But there is truly a pure evil in the…

Everyone is caged up. We hear ticka-ticka-ticka, and then the horn that either means the Minnesota Vikings got a first down, or a Smoke Monster is going to kill people. It turns out to be the latter. Smokey kills the guard with the keys. Kate reaches out for them.

KATE: I think I can reach the keys!

She reaches as far as her little arm can reach (don't tell me she has the longest arms of the people in the cage) and is still six inches away. Unless she is Stretch Armstrong, that reach isn't going to happen. IF ONLY THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY OUT! Oh wait, 3 seasons ago you left the cage to have sex with Sawyer because you can fit out the top. In the time frame, it wouldn't have mattered because Jack showed up to unlock some doors. But if …

There are two types of people (well, there are plenty of other sub sects, but as far as this subset goes…): the people who con AND the people who get conned.

There is hope of Locke being redeemed. This will not involve Dead Locke. Island Locke was Mr. Get Conned. Locke has ALWAYS had a penchant for getting conned. In Season 1, he gets conned by his father at the cost of his kidney and the love he always wanted. In Season 2, his father may have been conning him what with his fake death, but it comes at the final cost of losing relationship love. Also, the first time he loses faith in button pushing, it is not a con. D’oh. In Season 3, he gets really ripped TWICE. The big one seems to be trusting his dad (again) for one moment, and g…

    Which will be worse?

April 21, 2010 by Bluejay way

The looooong 2 week gap before we get to the next episode, or the looooooooooooooooooong gap between May 18 and May 23? Both sound just terrible, but I honestly think the half week will be worse. The finale is so very close. The closer it gets...ugh.

There are a large numbers of mysteries on the island and odd happenings. Since Season 1, the audience has been left with copious amounts of head scratching, profanity, leaving the show, losing a lot of weight, coming back to the show, putting back on weight, and general confusion. However, cop-out or not, I think the root of most of the mysteries will all have the same answer. Crazy Island Electro-magnetism. Walking Locke? Crazy Island magnets. Rose getting better? Crazy Island magnets. Traveling through time and changing timelines? Magnets. Why did the Grinch’s heart grow so many sizes? A couple factors: one part Who-ville happiness, fifty parts electro-magnetism.

So far, a large chunk of the show’s greatest mysteries involve the…
