There are so many things that the writers have incorporated to reference the real scientist/physicist Faraday - I won't go into them all here. But there was one fact that I thought was really interesting - In 1846, together with Charles Lyell, Farady produced a lengthy and detailed report on a serious explosion in a coal mine which killed 95 miners. The report was a meticulous forensic investigation and should have warned coal owners of the hazard of coal dust explosions, but Farady's warnings were completely ignored for over 60 years until the huge coal mine disaster which killed almost 500 miners, and remains the worst disaster in coal mining history.
Faraday's warning about Jughead in 1954 - did anybody listen during the 60 years after he warned Elie?
