So I just watched it again for the first time since it was new. It was on tv randomly so why not. I liked it a lot more this time through. I think I was mad the first time cuase it debunked my Smoke Monster theory. Also, not enough Black Rock, but oh well.
Anyway, the point of this is in the final scene with Jacob and MiB talking, Jacob says "So you tried to kill me?" He says it in a way like he was suprised, that was the first time Smoke tried to. I guess that gets rid of my idea of the 2000 year running Wile E. Coyote/Roadrunner thing they had going on. So its official, Richard was his first attempt. Were they friends for all those years? I guess before then MiB mostly paid attention to the people Jacob brought. He said "they were all dead" so maybe he lived among them, used them, killed them off when he's done. By "them" I mean Egyptians, pilgrims, sailors, various ancient and colonial people I guess.
