On October 20th, Wikia will change our format. Lostpedia could consider moving elsewhere.
Wikia will implement the following changes:
- All articles will measure 660 pixels across. That's the width of the following image:
Not so bad for blogs. But they make actual articles with content near impossible. We will have to resize or remove all images. We must remove or redesign all infoboxes. I can only imagine what will become of articles like role reversal and family trees.
- Images will now receive tags saying who uploaded them. That means a user's name and even their photo will appear below every image on every article. Wikia thinks, perhaps, this is a social networking site and people want to see at all times which images are whose. They are wrong.
- Articles will now have comments. Articles such as Jack's will include at the bottom hundreds of comments from users, some anonymous, some who log in via Facebook, adding their opinion of him. This comment list will often rival the rest of the article in length.
- No more theory tabs.
