A Thought About Widmore

Off island, Ben interacted with Widmore, so did Sun and John. Is it possible Widmore may have something to do with the fact that these three people didn't go back in time to 1977?

On top of Old Smokey

There has been much speculation that not-Locke (AJ, MIB, Esau, Nemesis, Dick, et.) is in fact the Black Smoke Monster. The evidence used to support this theory is his timely disappearance while Ben is in the temple being judged by Smokey and then confronted with an apparition of his dead daughter demanding than Ben swear his allegiance to John Locke. Proponents of this theory believe that not-Locke conveniently left the area so he could shape shift into the monster and (or) then Alex to insure the success of his plan to have Ben kill Jacob. This makes sense if you believe Nemesis and the monster to be one in the same. I don't.

I think not-Locke beat a hasty retreat specifically to avoid an encounter with Smokey, who would have recognize…

Jack the Janitor

In relation to WHH, I've been thinking about the scene where Jack, as a Dharma janitor, is cleaning the classroom and attempts to erase what appears to be a history lesson from the blackboard. This is likely forshadowing of him attempting to erase the history of Oceanic Flight 815 from the island by dropping the bomb, but he didn't quite wipe the slate clean. Although not as vivid, the words are still legible which leads me to believe his scheme was not completely successful, but nonetheless, history has been altered in some way.

Of course it's possible this may have just been the writers setting us up for the fact that some of the show's history will be figuratively wiped away, like Olivia, Annie, and the volcano. Or maybe it's both. S…

Egyptian Mythology, an insight to the GIRAFFE, REINCARNATION, and other things

Okay, I took Elliebellie's advice and looked up Apep; that led to Set, and then Osiris, Horus, Anubis, Thoth, and of course Taweret, among others. After three days of research, I found tons of juicy tidbits that may be relevant to Lost. I don't think the show is necessarily all about Egyptian mythology, but there's no denying faith is an important element, and the earliest recorded religious faith seems to begin with Egypt. By looking at its mythology, we may glean enLIGHTenment to the mysteries of Lost, but no definitive answers, as in all mythologies.

There were over 2,000 gods in ancient Egypt but many had similar characteristics and appeared all over the country by different names. Over the years, the parts of the country that had t…

About Carol Littleton

I've been watching reruns on the Sci-fi channel and recently saw the episode with the reveal that Christian is Claire's father when Carol is in what appears to be a permanent coma following a car accident that black-haired Claire is responsible for. In the last part of the episode, we see a very pregnant blonde-haired Claire visit her still comatose mother shortly before she boards Oceanic Flight 815, so Carol has been in this coma for quite sometime. But the next we see of Carol Littleton is at Christian's funeral, supposedly some three to four months later, and she's completely well. So I started thinking that maybe Jacob visited her and healed her like he presumably healed Juliet's sister Rachel (unless that was just a coincidence Be…
