I thought that the on-island ending was phenomenal. I didn't love or hate how they killed MIB, and Kate, Sawyer, Claire etc. getting off the island. But I loved the Jack and Hurley ending. I thought it was very fitting for Jack to sacrifice himself and very fitting for Hurley to become the protector of the island. That being said, when Jack was dying at the very end, he was lying on the ground thinking about what he had just accomplished: his sacrifice, his heroism, and that he not only saved the island but helped his friends get home. He had fullfilled his destiny. His father was wrong: He had what it takes. It should have been one of the most heart-felt moments in TV history. Unfortunately, the constatnt flashes to Jack being alive (or dead, I know, I know) in an alternate reality completely ruined it for me. Anybody else have a similar reaction?
