Going on the theory that Juliette look's just like "her," and the theory being that "her," is Juliette herself. When the Others brand her with the mark, wouldn't they see a scar of the mark already being there? I'm sure the writer's will probably use the Island's healing properties as an explanation for this, but if that's the case... What is the point of marking her in the first place if it will simply heal and show no signs of a scar?Read more >
Here's an interesting question for you all to ponder. During the DHARMA days, who lives in Ben's house? Clearly whoever it is, knows a bit more than they have shown thus far regarding the Island's secrets. The house certainly seems to have been built around the doorway to the "summoning room." My guess would be Horace or Pierre Chang. Perhaps they didn't know the purpose of the room, but must have known it had some sort of connection to the "Hostiles."Read more >
So we know that the Others have a truce with the DI. It involves a ceasefire and an apparent border. My question is... why? The Others have a bad ass "security system" at their disposal (to what extent it actually "listens" is yet to be shown,) but clearly it can at least be pointed in the right direction. They have Richard who apparently defies time itself. Also, let's not forget that they have shown on at least three occasions they can simply wipe out whoever they want if they so choose even when heavily underarmed compared to their enemies. US Army in the 50s, DI in the 90s, and the freighter mercenaries in present time. They even have the ability to move the island itself! So why then, do they allow the DI to exist for as long as they …Read more >
Now at first I thought Ben left the church and then went and killed Penny, thus Desmond beat the hell out of him. But when you think about it that way... that's just plain silly, Des would not hesitate to kill Ben for a second if he had killed Penny. So then I thought that perhaps he only hurt Penny and Desmond got to Ben before he killed her. However the more and more I think about it, I think that Ben did indeed kill Penny. Desmond did "kill" Ben, or so he thought. However we've seen the Island choose to heal Ben since then, so clearly it is not done with him yet. The island did not allow Ben to die. My guess is that now Desmond has turned to Widmore... the only man he knows can help him return to the Island. Desmond now knows the "rules…Read more >
Something I just thought about with the whole "whatever happened, happened" theory people have come to taken as law. Now obviously, the only real evidence supporting this, is from Faraday and a few other lines from other people. A lot of people have begun to wonder if just because a few people said it, does that make it so. Well... not saying this has any sway in the way the writer's write Lost... but I do encourage you all to check out the US air date of this week's episode "Whatever Happened, Happened."
I certainly wouldn't put it passed the Lost writer's to notice this would be the air date, and choose this episode to "debunk" the theory that one cannot change the past. Or even sneakier of them... they could show evidence that almost ass…Read more >
