Bomb did not sink island

So with the apperences of Ben,Roger,Eloise,Widmore(and possibly Dr. Chang because of Miles reference to his dad working at the musueum) off the island in the FST, its becoming clear that the bomb did NOT sink the island. That means that island would have had to sink sometime after the detonation of the bomb. Long enough for others like Eloise,Widmore and Ben(who was with the others at the time of the detontion) to leave the island before it sank. But that means if the bomb did not sink the island, what did? And wouldnt the detonation of the bomb blow up and kill everyone anyway? And does that mean Jacob left the island before it sank?
