No, John, unfortunately, we don't have a code for 'there's a man in my closet with a gun to my daughter's head;' although, we obviously should.

Skeletor seems to like it.

I've followed Lost since it began in 2004. In the first season, I missed one episode. Ever since, I have made sure to watch every single one. Too much of my time has gone into this TV show, but I've reconciled with the fact that I am a Lost-phile and will never change.

I am from Niagara Falls, NY (yes, we exist) and I prefer to watch Lost alone, though there are several people that I like to share the experience with. I am strongly against spoilers, to the point of being one of those people that doesn't even watch the previews.

Seasonal Feelings

I can not say that I have a "favorite" season. I enjoy each and every season for different reasons, and I feel that each season has its downfalls.

Season One

I was hooked from the first moment I watched. This season, which focused on our Lostaways, seems like an introduction in hindsight. I feel that it was a season of highs which kept us rolling through all 24 episodes.

High points

"Pilot, Part 1" - What is there to say that hasn't already been said? I wish J.J. would play a more prominent role in the series as we've gone on, but I can't complain about anything Darlton or anyone else has done. The novelty of the flashback was so new to us then, seems old-hat now, but is still such a high point.

"Confidence Man" - I love the Josh Holloway voice over at the beginning of this episode. And since I was a Sawyer fan from the beginning, this episode was great for me.

Low points

I'm not sure that this season had any low points. The death of Boone in "Do No Harm" was a shock, but I think that it worked overall for the show.

Season Two

The Hatch season brought about the introduction of my now-favorite chacter, Desmond, though he was not around very much after his escape. We saw the Tailies appear, and most disappear, and the Others began their ascent to prominence. Henry Gale was the face of a lowly other, and Tom was the mean Other who appeared as a spokesman. Oh, how things change.

High points

"Lockdown" - This is one of my favorite episodes thus far. The introduction of the blast door map, which has haunted many of us, was epic. This episode also raises some curious questions about Ben and the countdown, as well as why the lockdown procedure exists. It also introduced the PRD, which are still unanswered questions.

"Live Together, Die Alone" - The return of Desmond brought the scary and interesting revelation that the island itself is in lockdown. The implosion of the Swan and the reveal of the four-toed statue were climactic points.

Low points

"Collision" - My natural predisposition against Ana-Lucia may have led me to dislike this episode, but it all felt contrived to me. Shannon's death brought none of the vindication of Boone's. And while Ana's back story should have made her more endearing, I was left with the feeling of her as a heartless bitch.

Locke in the hatch - While I understand the basis of Locke as a man of faith, I feel that he became too much of a slave to the hatch to the point where his character was not growing. This is partly why I like "Live Together, Die Alone" so much, as it releases Locke from his demons.

Season Three

The season that focused on the Others brought about yet more interesting tidbits and introduced my least favorite character and one of my favorite characters. Desmond also featured much more prominently, and his relationship with Penny was colored in much more completely.
