|
- A few minutes after the crash, Gary Troup made a deadly mistake of standing in front of one of the plane's still-running turbines and was sucked into it, killing him. As a result, the turbine exploded, raining debris and remains all over the other survivors. ("Pilot, Part 1")

- During a morning swim, Joanna was caught in a riptide. Boone and Jack made attempts to save her however Jack decided to rescue Boone first. Because of this Joanna drowned. ("White Rabbit")

- When Claire escaped from the Others, Ethan demanded her to be returned or else he would kill one survivor each day. However the survivors did not return Claire. Therefore Ethan killed one survivor, Scott. He was found with several broken bones, battered and bloody. ("Homecoming")

- Asked by Locke to climb into the drug smugglers' plane to see what was inside, Boone found several drugs stashed in the plane as well as a radio which he used to contact rescuers. However it was the tail section survivor Bernard. Despite warnings from Locke to get out of the plane, Boone stayed inside when the plane fell. Boone suffered from many internal injuries and despite Jack's best efforts, Boone succumbed to his injuries. ("Do No Harm")

- When Locke suggested hiding survivors inside the hatch, Jack and a group of survivors set out on a mission to the Black Rock to retrieve dynamite to blow open the Hatch door. Arzt volunteered to go along with them, saying he knew "how to handle volatile dynamite better than anyone else." While Arzt handled the dynamite, lecturing the others on how to handle it, he blew himself up. ("Exodus, Part 2")

- After seeing Walt, Shannon determined to find Walt by walking into the jungle. Sayid caught up with her and tried to apologize for doubting her. After Shannon once again saw Walt, but this time Sayid did too. Sayid then told her that he believes her and loves her. As Shannon ran toward Walt, she was shot once in the stomach by Ana Lucia, who thought she was one of the Others. ("Abandoned")

- After discovering Paulo had the diamonds, Nikki takes Paulo into the jungle and throws a Medusa spider on Paulo. Paulo collapses and Nikki begins to search for the diamonds. However soon after she is bitten by one of the spiders that induced a deathlike paralysis, which caused death-like appearance. She died after being buried alive alongside Paulo, as the other survivors were unaware that the two of them were both still alive. ("Exposé")

- When Paulo eventually found the diamonds, he hid them from Nikki. Nikki later found out he had the diamonds, and threw a Medusa spider at him, which bit him and induced a death-like paralysis in Paulo. He subsequently died as a result of being buried alive while paralyzed, unable to save himself. ("Exposé")

|
- Penny tells him she knows no one named Naomi, but before he can tell Desmond, Mikhail appears outside and detonates a grenade, blowing the window open and causing the room to flood. Charlie locks the door to prevent the rest of the station from flooding, to save Desmond, and writes "NOT PENNY'S BOAT" on his hand and shows Desmond. He then drowns. ("Through the Looking Glass, Part 1")

- Doug was a member of Team Locke. Just before Keamy's attack on the Barracks, Sawyer is armed with a gun and frantically looking for Claire. He comes across Doug holding some firewood. Sawyer asks if he has seen Claire leave her house at all but Doug doesn't answer. Confused, he just asks why Sawyer is carrying a gun. Suddenly, Doug is shot in the middle of the chest and dies, spraying blood spraying on Sawyer. ("The Shape of Things to Come")

After Christian Shephard appears to Michael, telling him he can "go now". The Kahana then explodes killing Michael. ("There's No Place Like Home, Part 2")
