Allusions to Lost
American Version
- In an episode called "Boys and Girls", the white collar workers of the office meet their blue collar counterparts in a visit to the warehouse. The character Dwight turns to the camera and says, "Remember on Lost, when they met the Others?"
- In "Initiation", Dwight quizzes Ryan, as part of a training exersize. Dwight asks Ryan, "What is the DHARMA Initiative?".
- Dwight Schrute makes repeated mentions of Lost on his official NBC-hosted blog.
- In the episode called "The Return", Andy Bernard claims he wants to go home and watch Lost.
British Version
The British Version of The Office ended in 2003, one year before Lost premiered. Therefor it would be impossible for them to make references to Lost.

- Charlie's girlfriend, Lucy, said that her dad was away looking to buy a paper company in Slough, England. This was a reference to the British comedy The Office, which took place at a paper company in Slough, which some of the writers are reputedly fans of. ("Homecoming")

- They both have love triangles. Lost has Jack-Kate-Sawyer. The Office (US Version) has Roy-Pam-Jim.

- In a podcast, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse recommend Ricky Gervais's podcast. Ricky Gervais is the creator of The Office.
- Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight, has said numerous times that he is a fan of Lost.
- Locke worked in an office at one point.
