Lostpedia used to be a fun site full of basically friendly people who all wanted to better the site. Now it increasingly has edits from the rude types who ruined wikipedia - policy-obsessed people who use the policies as an excuse to "clean up" pages, angering many of the contributors in ways that never really occurred before, and really ruining the entire content of the pages (especially the Theories pages). I used to come here every week to see what people had posted, but now, so many interesting ideas are being removed (on the grounds that they "don't belong on the theory page"), and they are being intermingled with "discussions", which aren't the same thing and don't interest me, and don't encourage the same flow of thought (discussions must be posted in time order and signed).. So ... I guess it's just not a useful site anymore.
