I like LOST. Obviously. I think Ben is my favourite character - I can't wait to find out what his agenda is, along with the whole Jacob thing.
Hate to go there, but in terms of romance, I prefer the Desmond / Penny storyline. The whole quadrangle thing is outta control, plus Desmond is a cool character, Henry Ian Cusick is awesome, and Sonya Walger is gorgeous. Spewing Charlie died, I thought him and Claire were goin places, and I like them both as actors too.
Here are a couple of theories that I have (last updated 12th May 08):
- Michael is the man in the coffin.
- Although Ben is an asshole to most people, he is so for a reason - to protect the Island, which is more important that most of the losties realise.
- Richard is bizarre, freaks me out a little but I like his character. He's a likely link to the history of the Black Rock.
- Charles Widmore as of S04E09 clearly has some past ties to the Island, which must be either Dharma related or Black Rock related.
- Claire is NOT dead, contrary to popular opinion based on her recent Cabin appearance.
- I was quite surprised that Miles turned down the opportunity to visit Jacob - I was convinced that Jacob was the reason for Miles coming to the Island.
UPDATE AFTER SEASON 4 CONCLUSION (4th June):
Well one of my theories got blown out the window, possibly two.
- Michael was not the man in the coffin.
- If Claire can appear to someone (Kate) off the Island, maybe she is dead? Or maybe she's "special" like Walt?
Ben is still my favourite character, I still have no idea if he's "good" or "bad", and no doubt he will die before the end, but he rocks. Sure he's a prick sometimes, but he's doing what he believes he has to do to protect the Island, and he's willing to have himself banished from the Island to do so.
Could not believe it was Locke in the coffin, but there ya go. I was starting to think it was Ben (I think that was what we were meant to think), but then when Ben showed up at the Funeral Parlour it became pretty obvious it was Locke. But I'm sure he will still have an important part to play once the Oceanic 6 return to the Island.
