Extra Info On The Number 9 Edit

  • The Losties crashed on the island on September 22, 2004 (9/22/04)
  • With the number 108, you can take (1 + 0 + 8 = 9)
  • (DI 9FFTR731) is a code that appears on many of the items from the Swan. On one of the items it reads: 960VKKS, and the one on the right reads: PL390.
These two codes also appear in the same location on the DHARMA manuals which have the main code DI 90M1654-21644.
  • There are 9 different DHARMA stations on the island that both we and and the Losties know about at this point in time.
  • If you go to oceanic-air.com and take a look at the seating chart for flight 815, it lists 352 seats. If you count the seats, there are actually 361 total. Now this may be because the flight attendands aboard, but if you want to throw numbers into it, thats 9 extra seats, and if you take the sum of the lotto numbers 108 and add the three together, 1+0+8=9. Just some more statistics that are a little off.

Outside the show and real life occurrences Edit

  • It takes on average 9 months to gestate a child.
  • The following is an insert from Asian-Central found threw a Google search of the number 9

The number 9 falls under the “yang” category, which stands for strength and masculinity. As opposed to the number 1, which represents the starting point, the number 9 is a microcosm of Asian goodness.

Allow me to explain: “Jiu Zhuo” refers to the 9 immeasurably large states that China encompasses. The highest level of heaven is the 9th level. “Jiu Quan” refers to the 9th spring, where the afterlife is located. If you’ve ever been to a royal palace or monastery, you’ll notice that doors, windows, stairs, and other fixtures were created in the magical number or multiples of it. The gilded knobs of the Forbidden City are a great example...
